[PServer] Is Vendetta official? How does it work?
Hi, I've a few questions about nostale, nostale vendetta and servers. It's just for my knowledge.
How does vendetta work? I mean, it's the same as the official servers so I think it doesnt use sources available now (like opennos). So the point is, how does it work? (I'm not really into coding so you dont need to explain it really detailed). Then, how is it possible that the vendetta server is still online? Why gameforge hasnt closed it yet? Just like they did with other servers made a long time ago.

So i heard about they have a license to run a private server from nostale im not 100% sure its true or not

I think they don't have the license, they just got the official software

I have contact to the Developer from Russia, they told me, that vendetta use the Nos99 Source

The developer from Russia ? Bash is actually the only one who has access to the source if I'm not wrong, and he's from the UK

Yup, I'm pretty sure, I made some digging about VGN and the former companies he had / was working in, turns out he lives in London (Or at least lived)

No, Vendetta use the 99Nos Source. The Source was leaked & Vendetta has Translate them to Englisch i think

That doesn't really make sense. 99Nos is a 2011 source.
Bash said he prepared the source for one year before releasing Vendetta, which means in 1 year, he should have done:
- All Sp5 to 8
- All act 5 & 5.2 & 6.1
- All the buffs from the sp's
- Adding all the new items
And all of this considering he already has a lot of other game servers running is very time consuming, especially when you look at how much time it took him to implement act6.2.

It make Sense, because the Offical Source is coded in Java.
He can implent the stuff to Vendetta.
