Would it be possible to make each opponent have a random set of upgrades? It would make bots more challenging.

Somewhere not far back there is some mod for Hard AI's makes races much more challenging.

I tried a Hard AI mod before. It seems that cars in game are just altered to go faster which does make the AI harder but it also makes the car faster when you drive it also. Hopefully there's a way to have it so only the AI is faster with no effects on the car that the player is driving.

Anyway, got another bug. Just realised as I'm writing this that it's the infamous vinyl shop bug that's been happening. But here's the photo anyway for anybody interested.

if you are using a old format vinyle file (e.g. the l\keule360 one)you will face this issue

BTW can anyone create a complete vinyl file???
I asked for a long time but still no news about it

GlideImage, in your catalog everything's a bit "random" sadly. The catalog I sent you had cars from SRV-CAR0 to SRV-CAR375 without skipping with a total of 376 cars. In your catalog it goes up to SRV-CAR400(what) then finishes with SRV-CAR375 with randomly skipping some cars with a total of 374 cars. Did you try to change the ids or some stuff? Cause I can't re-do the basket nor will the server's basket will be able to work with this data.

Also Benno4, the <Level> tag in the catalog, for this I typed in 1234:

Thanks for letting me know! While you're here, do you know how to make the game say you require a certain level and still show the price of the car?

Very trivial, but it would be great if you could help me out!

Also, I've been doing a lot of price changes lately and I've noticed that I can't make Performance part items for SpeedBoost only even though I set the currency to _NS. Is this because this was never supported when the game was online?

Performance parts date back to the beta days where speedboost was mostly for the cars themselves, so if boost doesn't work that's normal. I know that A/M supports it but that system came in very late.

Still show the price of the car? Hmm, that means modifying the codes for the GUI. If someone manages to crack the game file checksum, you can even make it say "dollarydoos"

You have no idea how perfect Dollarydoos is for me especially when I'm from Australia

So far, all I know is changing prices of things so sadly it won't be me who cracks it. It isn't a big deal anyway. Thanks for replying! Looking forward to the next update!

EDIT: Berkay, I apologise in advance for this because I'm sure someone has asked you but are we able to change the reward from treasure hunter and how would I be able to do it? I only ask because I'm removing all SpeedBoost items from the game and would love to replace Treasure Hunter with a nice cash reward rather than 500 boost.

it's hardcoded into the server since I never thought anyone would do that. Look at NfswEvent.java: SetPrize(ByVal->(int) THReward);

If we are to leave the 500 boost from TH and have only one item we can buy with boost, such as the F1, it would make sense to keep it that way.


well we stil would need multi back for the whole thing to really make sense.
No real point in "show off" items, if we really cant show them off.

The games not online anymore so I don't see a point of SpeedBoost.

I want to make my game the version that NFSW should have always been. No SpeedBoost, no paywalls. (Not that any of this matters in an offline game anyway).

I've redone the prices of a lot of aftermarket items and replaced them with Cash rather than SpeedBoost, I'm happy to share with you if you'd like to take a look when I'm finished.

EDIT: Ok, I'm looking at the NfswEvent and it seems to be a bit too confusing to me. I want to change the reward so it gives 100,000 cash instead... This could take awhile....... A long while...

Thanks gamermca, that means a lot. Although I don't plan to utilize real life prices, I'm happy to share what I do change.

The game set up where everything is IGC based on real life would be awesome.

Try Blacklisted's mod. It modifies the AI-only acceleration bonus value (the thing that the cops in chases get), therefore it doesn't affect you.

Not random at all, I just added 2 cars but rather then put them at the end I added them where the others of the model are, as for the 400 basket, I just did 400 and forgot to change it. So I can move the Achievement Lambo and Black Terlingua to the end of the list and change the 400 to the next basket number to keep order, or remove them from the catalog altogether, your choice. Oh I did remove the 4 traffic cars from the catalog list to prevent them from being given as reward cars, want them back in?

In any event I will order the list correctly and fix the 400 basket to the next in line.

Aside from catalog ordering are the prices good? I will fix it up.



EDIT::

I moved the Achievement Lambo and Black Terlingua to the end and changed the 400 to 377 to follow the Lambo of 376 basket, I also included the 3 Limited Edition basket fixes. I have a second catalog in a separate folder that has the 4 Traffic cars in the catalog file, I removed them from the catalog file but I included one with them if you want them in, I did not do anything with their prices... they are 277, 372, 373 and 374 are the traffic cars




EDIT:::
I can even take it a step further by putting the Achievement Lambo at 277, the Black Terlingua at 372 and move the car 375 to 373 and eliminate 374 and have everything 0 to 373 this removing the Traffic cars and keeping the cat file in order... I wont unless you want me too, otherwise it is in order now as is....
