Simple
example in the launch even folder
374.xml is one of the meeting places (OverLook)
You open that file and the part <EventId>374</EventId> you change that ID to an event that has no single player mode(TE or a Drag) that you wish to launch then save and upon launching said meeting place, it reverts to the race event with a single player mode.
Works both with TE and drags that have no single player mode.

Save the file, and load said meeting place on single player, you will get the event you changed it to.
You can do this while in game and do not have log out, just change the launch event file code (a meeting place) to become a TE or drag, launch that meeting place in single player mode and the race/TE event will start.
