try this, if you install nfsw with all the defaults directories, nfsw.exe must be in

C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\Need For Speed World\Data

errorcode 5 = server not running

execute servereditor, run the server, wait 10-15 seconds, then you run nfsw.exe, that should solve the errorcode 5

and do a fresh install, new server, new folder, and try to run it first with the default persona, if you have no bugs with that, you close the game and the server as well, and import your persona (click save after the importing and before running the game), if bugs appears with your persona, then your driver is corrupt

Introduction
They, even me, said it was impossible. Well, it turns out that it's possible and it can be done. Please welcome the first public offline server for NFS: World.

About
It's a pretty straight-forward tool but since it's in beta it requires many dependencies. These include: Java, Python2, Mitmproxy, Windows. We try our best to bring you the best experience but remember that it will take time. Also, tool is open-source and even has the source within the archive, so no viruses or anything like that.

How to use
Read the "readme.html" in the archive. It tells you everything you need to know. Make sure you do not change the path of the python installer. It has to be in C:\Python27.

Personas
I download personas that are requested from me on my free time. I no longer do this. The ones I d/led were uploaded to .
Exchange them from ServerEditor.exe using the "Import".

Bugs

• Can't do Team Escapes(no SP data on server)
• Can't do some drags SP(no SP data on server)
• Can do pursuits but can't finish them. Doing so will crash the game. The reason for that is this magnificent piece of junk called Java.
• Can't process anything related to basket data, for now. Reason being we didn't code it yet.
• Can change cars but going to safehouse again after changing cars will reset the car back to the default one.
• Races give no rewards.(You have unlimited IGC & Boost anyways)
• Can do TH but no rewards will be given when finished.
• Can't sell cars.

Todo

• Fix bugs(duh).
• Create a tool that will allow players to change driver name, level, exp, money etc.
• Create a tool that will allow players to exchange persona data with ease.(You have to do it manually for now)
• Hopefully, get enough data to be able to create a UDP private server. donezo.

• Recompiled, removed Locale.setDefault and moved it to command line. (This could be the reason for all of the Out of Memory stuff)
• ServerEditor will now close the server when nfsw.exe is closed.

You seem to be looking in Program Files, not ProgramData. They are two different folders.

Berkay, would you be interested in matching the HAT values to the cars' performance?

Leaving for holidays tomorrow, but managed to gather nearly all data necessary to make HAT values sensible.

Namely, I wrote a nice little Excel function which gave us the T value for all* cars, by comparing its stock top speed with the Veyron's. See the Modding tab.

A is more tricky, all I have is subjective data from both wikis, but I think there was a "drag test" thread somewhere - the times could be uses as basis for another formula.

The most subjective thing is H - I've already assigned H values to the best handling cars in-game (Elise, Exige, MR2 and Renault Clio) but all the others are empty. Main problem is, which car handles the worst? Viper?

*Missing data for Stirling Moss and Lotus Cortina.

i downloaded the game and now making my way downloading the offline files... apart from the personas there is a file called need tools.... do i have to download it all? (i can read tho, just not sure if that's essential, i'm using 64bit win8)
