They do help to make you a better programmer. BUT, this is not coming from me, this is coming from a friend that actually knows to program in C++ and java and some other thingie I can't remember now. (L.E.-I think it's Oracle, I dunno) He said at some point you need to know how the computer works.

So... If you learned C++ with ZERO, nada, no hardware knowledge, congratulations! You are good. But if you're just expressing an outsider's point of view, sure, let's express opinions and chit-chat. I'm an outsider regarding C++ stuff.
its not important to know a program language if you wanna make a hack for a game,all you need to do is to use cheat engine or something like that,you must be able to search the address and the pointer,and then you can google some modules for writting memory or reading memory,you even dont need to know how does the modules work,you can just replace the address and pointers to let the hack run.but if you wanna be to real coder,you have to learn at least one program language to improve yourself.for some games' anticheat,you got to know some ASM.

IF you dont know ay program languages so far, better go learn some easier 1st, i learned C++ 2 years ago, i was 13 and a half then
