recently came across this... i know from my own following of notch's blog/twit that most of this is legit

some of it i'm not sure on

for those who need background (due to lack of knowledge) about certain things...
- no more infinite burning logs
basically fixes the long-standing bug where logs have a chance to infini-burn like netherrack
- new launcher
it's this LINK going official... with some perks
- new save file format

just like Optimine was made official
- secret update
99% chance for new underwater content (per notch's hints)

* Wooden and cobble stone half blocks to add some more options for your designs.

Personally, I’m most excited about the new carrier/repeater/delayer block. Every time we release an item like this, we are blown away by what you guy make with them. The release of the music block was pure joy in that way. The whole office gathered around a computer and marveled at the creations uploaded to YouTube.
