What is mod tools?
Mod Tools is a tool not an modpack/mod downloader. Mod Tools helps you install mods, you still have to download the mod you want to use. Mod Tools will not install anything else except what you tell it to add, so if the mod you are trying to install requires you to install Mod Loader then you will have to install it also, that’s where Mod Tools comes in, Mod Tools helps you add all those files to minecraft with just a few clicks.

How it works:
1) Find the mod you would like to install, download it and start Mod Tools
2) In Mod Tools Click on “Install Mod” and select the Mod you downloaded
3)Thats it, mod tools will then add the mod to minecraft..and your done.

If your mod requires class files/pics/folders that need to go into minecraft.jar then next time you zip your mod all you have to do is put the class files/pics/folders into a folder called ‘class’ or ‘jar’ or ‘minecraft.jar’ either one of the folders will take the contents of that folder into minecraft.jar and the same follows every other resource and/or mod file.

For mod files that need to go to minecraft.jar –> use folders –> ‘class’ or ‘jar’ or ‘minecraft.jar’
For mod files that need to go to mods folder –> name folders –> ‘mod’ or ‘mods’
For mod files that need to go to resources folder –> name folders –> ‘resource’ or ‘resources’
For mod files that need to go to minecraft folder –> name folders –> ‘minecraft’ or ‘.minecraft’
For mod files that need to go to bin folder –> name folders –> ‘bin’
For mod files that need to go to config folder –> name folders –> ‘config’
For save files that need to go to save folder –> name folders –> ‘save’ or ‘saves’ or ‘world’
For texture files that need to go to texture folder –> name folders –> ‘texture’ or ‘textures’ or ‘texturepacks’
You can have as many files/folders in any of the above folders, once added just zip and name your mod. All that’s important is for files to be in either of the folders named above.
