I agree with your assessment; the server is good, but unfortunately, the staff displays favoritism, giving special treatment to certain players. Favoritism is not a new issue on SG; it has been prevalent for years. A review of previous posts reveals numerous complaints about staff favoring particular players.
It is evident here that certain players are allowed to say whatever they want, even to the point of bullying others, without facing any consequences because the staff favors them. The rules seem to apply only to some players, not all.
They also ban players for trivial reasons; if the staff dislikes certain players, they are immediately banned from the Discord server or the game. It seems people can't express their opinions without incurring the staff's anger.
Flipside is a nice guy who has never been banned before. However, when he shared his opinion about the server, he was permanently banned.
Even the most liked and active player shared his opinion about the situation on SG. This screenshot is from a public server, not a private DM.
Additionally, it seems they no longer care about the server. There won't be any new content on SG since they are focusing on their new project, 'Zymeria.' Their excuse is that the game doesn't need new content because many players haven't reached the endgame yet.
They also don't bother to hold events requested by players. They always have excuses for not running them or only organize events that require minimal effort.
The PVM King event was popular among many players. However, after SGM Tary left the server, they stopped holding the event, citing the excuse of 'not enough players to run the event.'
Like I said, they always have some excuses to not run the events liked by players.
A non-European player suggested changing event times because it was too late for Asian players to participate. Unsurprisingly, the suggestion was turned down, and the staff didn't bother to make any adjustments. When SGM Tary was still on the team, event times were earlier, and there were no issues. Clearly, they have plenty of excuses!
There's no PvP on SG, and instead of trying to revamp existing PvP events or create new ones, the staff simply removed all PvP events from the calendar. They could have introduced PvP updates, but their solution was to eliminate the two PvP events entirely. This clearly demonstrates that the staff doesn't care much about the future of SG, as their entire focus is now on Zymeria.
