epvp rpg?

anyone remember the epvp rpg game here?
i know it was a long time ago but i have a few questions about it.
was it a custom source just made for here or was it based off somthing else?
are there any open source games simmeler to it?

well it was sorta an odd game.
kinda like mobsters but more unique.
had some cool market things,fighting and stuff,
im sure there was some copyright infringment,prolly why its still not here,you know...
like ryu from street fighter fighing mega man,special moves,it was cool

but when the forum went through a makeover a while back the game dissapeared,there was always talk of it coming back but..

i was looking for a simmiler source i found quite a few but none with the fighting system.
thinking it might be based off a 'pokamon' clone,just replace the 'poka' with custom fighters.
anyway im still lookin

so are you starting from scratch or using somthig like vb gore or net gore?

what are the profit sharing with epvp/lowfyr?
seems this site has quite a few active users,and seeing as how it willhave an almost instant user base and ability to market to mmo users,i see even the most pethetic game being profitable here.

seriously what is the plan for this?you going fullcustom source,cus no way n hell anyone will help,but if your going off a game engine to start,with the right profit sharing,i belive there would be a chance more pll would help,quest's could be easy to make with a lua scripts.2d or 2.5d enviorment using tiles would be easy for anyone to make


well i looked around a found somthing rather cool

decent graffixs,opensource,and should be easy to work with
(BTW,got to love that google summer of code)

alright lets get a server up and running,get a playerbase and bug report going for thing we need to fix first.

and after a day thinking about it and seeing what could be done..
so realy ho about making a game!
seems you want to go and make a 2d platform,what like maplestory?
torque game engine allows for 2d and 3d games and is scriptable so would be fairly easy.visual3d game engine isnt realy all that good ill lok into other game engines and see what are good.
but i still see the idea of just editing a decent open source game ,i think it would be a hit,somthing easy just a sidetrack while away from our 'main' game.basicly an mmo-forum,
