im trying to mod mabi myself now, but im stuck with one problem...
where the hell are the .xml files located!?
i know how to, i know with what (lol i use microsoft excell) but i dont know where xD
i hope y'all can help me, and if i get something good out of this (like quest-less pally or something) i'll make sure to share!

.xml mod... well well...
First things first:
Do you want to make a graphical or technical mod?
Most xml effects are stored in a sub called effects or something...
gfx/fx/effects
If you want to make some functional mods I must disappoint you, nexon is moving most of the functions into dll's. There were hacks regarding those modifications which were mostly private. But as far as I can tell most of them are patched already.
The files are still located in the sup /db/ but at different spots so you gotta search really.
quest-less pally is "wunschdenken".
Obviously Server-Sided functions are impossible to hack. And since nexon is moving most of the stuff to dll's or server, xml hacking got mostly useless.
Good news is they won't move much of the previously data handled stuff to the server, since every function call that has to be synced with the host costs traffic and causes lag. They will have to leave it client sided, brobably stored in Dll's.

did you know the healing range mod is a .xml one? :O
im trying that on the other bolt spells now too (and try to make yourself movable with thunder/counter)
also, i just have excell and notepad XD where can i get notepad++? (im trying to do this with free programs)
ps: i still dont know where the .xml files are  i just edit the ones from tiaras moonshine mod that are in the data/db/ folder

Yea... I made it.
(somebody else released it tho)
Also the infinite Ressurection range mod.
The item hack mods were all xml based... also some other skill hacks were like that. -> almost everything patched.
Nothing else will work like this, don't worry, I tried everything.
 totally free, totally awesome.
I'd recommend Hex plugin and Lua plugin to use with it. (well if you like coding Lua... but hex is a must)
If youre looking for the xml with data I'd say you have to unpack the biggest .pack file.
Best way is to download the whole client so you get everything neatly packed into ONE .pack-file. And then like you mentioned for the tiara bs..*sigh* in /data/db/ just look into all the folders, you'll find interesting things....

Any illegal stuff here is going to be deleted and the Poster infracted/banned.
I also think that TD and most of all DD are going way too far. But hey, they show what they can.

been a while, couldn't really change a lot >.< AP cost changes are only client side, so it shows like "0 AP needed, you have 7 AP" and you can't advance till you have the 10 needed
i wanted to ask you tho, any way to monitor packets and/or alter DLL files? google didnt come up with much Q~Q
also, i think i understand how the item modifier mod worked, and im trying that out now too.
>.< i'm sorry for burdening you with all these questions, its actually my fist time doing this myself instead of just leeching, trying to give the nice people something back.
edit 1: awwww :< the item modifier mod has been patched, it was working too DX. ah well, at least i have fireball and thunder now ^^
