yeah...at "Money" we got waaay to much off topic and started about weapons

aaanyway... i'll get this thread started by my favorite weapon sets.

melee:
1. dual ******* swords
2. dual broad swords
3. gladius/dagger combo
4. gladius/kite shield

ranged:
1. crossbow - it's fast and you can run with most skills loaded. bolts dont take much space anyway

magic:
1. (any wand) + (any shield)

Melee:
- Dual Cutlass
- Dual Wooden Sword
- 2 Handed Sword

Ranged:
- Guardian Bow
- Leather Long Bow

Magic:
- I generally don't use any wands.


Other:
I usually use my Dual-Cutlasses, but if their Durability is low and I don't have enough money, then I combine 2 handed with Fire-/Icebolt.

this is a weapon only effective if you have 200+ Dex... >.>

I HAVE 208 dex.... minus that 10... from my lightning 198... All i need is like 2 lvls or a title. I still hit 100+ with that low min o-o.

Cutlass are... let me put this right... "Paradewaffen". Back before the Exploration event screwed everything, Cutlass were rather hard to get showoff weapons, which had no real use besides looking special. They may have decent stats, but there are several reasons why you don't regulary fight with them.
- Only 10 max dura
- Repair costs inefficient.(They have a high value but not the appropriate stats)
- No upgrades.
- No ego.

I have 6 cutlass left, if I feel like I don't want to waste Dura on my gladius in lower lvl dungeons, I use them, and when they run out of dura -> ego food.

Does it really matter anymore, at your lvl?
Lots of STR+ lots of DEX makes up for bad Weapon stats.
but as a low lvl I'm just trying to get the most of my damage :P

But to another topic, did the shield usage increase since the shield update, are you guys using any?

I used to have a shield before Dual Wield was released, never used one since then.
Since my primary: 2x Gladius, secondary: Claymore(ego), so it doesn't fit @_@

I use it sometimes, not really using it a lot yet until assault update is nearing closer, then again I may prof one up for PvP uses.

my giants weapon set:

melee:
-spiked knuckle (this one is always equipped, i love it XD)
-great sword
-2handed sword (+ giant shield when it comes out)
-broad axe (wow @ amazing splash o.o)

on a side note, does anyone actually USE a claymore/2handed? i only see people walk around with em... i myself think they're good for battle, nice splash

Dual gladius will give you good everything and when you upgrade them they just get better, one of mine is 29-27 damage and 70 balance

XD Nice :P
NOW I'd totally upgrade for lower Balance.
Balance(+DEX) defines how well you move into the direction of your MAX dmg.
If your MIN dmg is lower than your MAX dmg, you'd be hitting your 29 even with 0% balance.
