um, when I run mabi, it crashes my client.exe after putting your xml edit... Know any solution to this?

You need to have the newest .XML which is taken out of 80_81.pack.
Also, petboost won't work with .XML edits anymore. Charge, you must edit the bottom Assault_race="base" because that's the renewed charge.

okay i did the edit from the newest pack and edited but nothing happens in game.

Uhh...a very basic question but...did you remember to DATA pack it?
Or use a memory patcher which UsesDataFolder?

yup i hit find then modify it said it was modded and so i booted mabi

Try putting this in data\db\skill\
Then data pack, if it still doesn't work, I think something is wrong with your data folder.

You do realize you must either pack the mods into the .pack files or use a patching system to load the data folder mods?

I would normally say something sarcastic, but it would just be disappointing when you take it at face value.

Ahhh ****... I failed /facepalm

Also @cloud u need to make sure all xmls ur packing are closed and that u run DATApacker as admin. If it still doesn't work try a patching system like mng from mabimods.

Strange. After packing that xml again, mabi ***** itself: every time I start it connects to a patch server and downloads some small patch, then wont let me start the client.

I then try removing the xml through data packer, and the client is still messed up.

Then it means you're doing something wrong... =.=
Or you did something else to your client which screwed up. And also, make sure your client is on r83 since my friend's client constantly didn't patch properly for like 3 hours of trying.

I heard MNG's read data folder was broken, I don't use it but that's what I was told.

I believe it is only broken for xp users. It works on both my vista and win7
