If you are botting in C1 server such as ul2, use bots with version 10.2.3 or lower.
------------------------- C2 ---------------------------------------------------- might be 10.2.4, best if u get the lastest version thats out.

Step 1: Finding server ip

theres 2 ways of finding server ip that i know of

1st Netstate


- in "run" type netstate
- login to lineage 2 with your account, go back to windows after u are in the game (standing there somewhere in the game)
- type netstate again
- compare the 2 lists (netstate1 netstae2) the ip should be followed by port :2106
eg. xxx.xxx.xxxx:2106

if not then u have to try each one (that is the extras showed up after u are in the game)

2end descript

you need to download the descript thing for l2.ini (think thats the name) and then look inside to find the server ip.
However, i prefer the 1st way because when i tried to bot in ul2, the ip i got from l2.ini doesnt work.

Step 2: ProtocolVersion

Note: "There are 2 ways of bot pretection, 1st way is to change the proversion and the second one is to spot and block bot programs(which we cant do anything about )

However if the server is using the 1st way to block bot (ul2 for example), there is a way to get around that (capnM lied)"

- open Network.dll in l2 program folder (/system i think)
- find $Revision (in find function)
- the next 3 numbers follow is the ProtocolVersion


example (ul2 bot setting)

ProtocolVersion= 786
ServerList=[1];[2];[3];[4];[5];[6];[7];[8];

*ul2 does have some kind of bot program protection, but its not for all versions, i use 10.1.4 and loged in but cant use 10.1.3*


Common errors

- received "6 server fail"
try another version
- loged in but disconnected
might be using program that supported c2
connection problem, might be behind a router thats connected to a router (happened to me)
- server log in fail (first line error forgot the name)
ip is not correct
- account error (usually after the server is connected dont know what exactly is called)
account does not exsist


This is for without client bots , if this does not work then try the ingame bot
(there are maps u can download for the bots so u can see where u are going without a client)

These informations are from some other forum and my own experience, not sure if all the information is correct, plz correct me if i am wrong. thanks

Sorry, I'm not very good in English.
I want to ask a question - may be somebody could help...
i play on private server C1 - Bartz. Not so long time ago I used L2Walker v 10.2.1 without any probles. But admins maid such thing - they set game server in Testing mode. when you play with client - there is no troubles. But when i try to go in game with bot i got this:

11:40:34 Link LoginServer Succeed.
11:40:36 Login LoginServer Succeed.
11:40:39 Server Is Basy.
11:40:39 ->Login LoginServer Fail.

Is there any way to make it work properly?

btw - there iz enothere server in the window of chousing server - but when i try to connect there i got this:

11:42:09 Link LoginServer Succeed.
11:42:12 Login LoginServer Succeed.
11:42:15 ->Link GameServer Fail.

Protocol Version is correct - i checked Network.dll

2end method works for some servers, but just not my. try it and see.

did u try netstate in run?

and for Charis, try it some other time, maybe the server is really busy. if u have the right information like the ip and the ProtocolVersion and still doesnt work then try another version.

btw the new version supports c2 so try different ones

the version of L2Walker i used worked realy nise... but not for a long time
Like i said - our admins that way try to deal with bots - successfully i mast say... Client connect wihout problems, but L2Walker even don't try to connect (it seems to me so) to server that is in Testing mode...

It there any way to connect to server in Testing mode with some bot (may be not L2Walker) that can set Vendors?
btw - ingame versions is not for me...

Use version 10.1.4
or
10.2.3 + fPiPe (IP-redirector) Redirect from 127.0.0.1:7777 to you_server:7777

using 10.2.3 on a private server. Protocol is 419 im not sure which client it is since its using all the c2 files but the gameplay is c1

a better think to type in run is netstate -nb
the b clearly tells you what program is connected to what ip.
