Something Changed...

...so far,

On looking around more in the Lineage2 folder in Program files i found some more details that might link the issue we are having.

That 22nd of Feb 2008 date has made a big apperance in this folder (see post above). Ignoring the bog standard ini files and data files, i found the following files changed on that date:

nwindow.dll
l2.exe
engine.dll

These files to me would mean the issue has something to do with game client so far.

Does this mean there is a link between both these updates?? Does a game card still work and if so did they have to get the l2walker update after the 22nd to continue using?

Ive have a couple of ideas im going to try out soon, il let you know if anything comes of them, but i highly doubt it cos i dont know all the technical workings of anything, just some simple messing about.

It has nothing to do with the GameGuard update and is not directly related to the walker update as well.

The walker devs found out about the latest tcptunnel method (cos it's been posted and bumped over and over again in literally all L2 forums) and (if it was really some kind of local auth for them) set up a firewall/blocked some IPs or changed the IP altogether.

what about the l2authd server emulator from jetix ? anyone can crack it or recode it ?

Hey all! Wheal I think that it is a GG problem because I can't logon in to a private server since the last maintenance.
I think NcSoft fixed GG to block all Servers.
Many friends of me can't use Walker and they can't log-in to a server which you need to changed host file.
Also I think that GG also detects TCP tunnel.

So all this sounds me ''like'' get ready to pay for vent and for walker

It is not related to TCPTunnel. The walker devs just blocked their internal testing IP.

Surely if thats just the case isnt the answer simple:

1. Get the L2walker 'verify server address'.

2. Forward the 'verify server address' data back in like the loopback did

3. Continue forward on l2auth port.

But to me its a lot more complicated then its seeming, or just too simple that no one would expect.

Anyone thought to try contacting someone like www . razor1911 . com to look in to actually 'Cracking' l2walker.exe.

You might of seen this name around on some *try-before-you-buy* software.

I dont really want to cos they say not to ask for things, but if they dont know about it, how will they find out.

if u got gameguard error put this string in your host file

216.107.250.194 nprotect.lineage2.com

that resolves the problem of gameguard various errors but l2walker still dont verify coz the port got closed...trying to find other opened port
