Beginning Notes: This quest is significantly faster and less costly if you choose to craft a regular fairy stone and not a deluxe fairy stone; since the deluxe fairy stone just gives you 20 food for your trouble it is not worth the cost of the ingredients you put in it. The kind of hatchling you get is completely random (not based on the kind of fairy stone or what drake you speak with), so don't wonder how to guarantee the kind you want. Here are the three kinds of hatchlings you could get:

Star Hatchling - Even though its attack is weak, its defense is strong. It also has the hate skill. Compared to other hatchlings, it requires more feed.

Wind Hatchling - Its default attack strength seems weak, but it has a strong attack skill. The amount of food it consumes is medium.

Twilight Hatchling - Both its attack and defense are weak, but the amount of food it consumes is the lowest of the three.

Talk to Pet Manager Cooper in Giran, he is located in the same courtyard as the Luxury Shop. He will send you to Hunter's Village to speak with Wiseman Cronos.

Run to Hunter's Village, Wiseman Cronos is in the main area in front of the main building, near the Gatekeeper. He will tell you need a fairy stone so that you can talk to one of the fairies in the Enchanted Valley. He will ask you what kind of fairy stone you would like to craft (it is strongly suggested you choose the regular fairy stone) and give you the appropriate recipe depending on your answer.

Regular Fairy Stone
10 Toad Lord Back Skins (called incipio in the quest box)
10 coal
10 charcoal
1 d grade gemstone (buy from magic shops
1 silver nugget

Deluxe Fairy Stone
20 Toad Lord Back Skins (called incipio in the quest box)
10 coal
10 charcoal
1 c grade crystal
5 silver nuggets

You must talk to Maria in Dion. Go there, she is in the Magic Shop across from the sellers. She will give you some more information on where to find the ingredients you need.

You can get the Toad Lord Back Skins in Cruma Swamp right around Cruma Tower. These mobs are in hot demand and don't drop a hide every time so expect a little work. They aren't particularly hard though. When you have your quota return to Maria and she will craft your fairy stone for you.

Now you need to return to Wiseman Cronos in Hunter's Village. He will be surprised that you actually came up with a fairy stone and tell you to speak with the guard Byron, who is at the North exit that goes to Enchanted Valley.

Byron will tell you to go find the Fairy Mymyu in the Enchanted Valley. If you have ignored every suggestion in this walkthrough and made the deluxe fairy stone he will also warn you that killing any of the mobs in Enchanted Valley will make it shatter.

Every mob in the Valley is passive except for the Satyrs so steer clear of them (if you run up the ramps and walk around above the Valley you will find more agressive mobs, this is a bad idea for anyone below level 45 or so - also the Kronbe Spiders on the way to the Valley are agressive). Fairy Mymyu can be found by going to the north part of the Valley, follow the outside corridors to get there (keep your right hand to the wall, so to speak, but stay down in the Valley, don't go up), sometimes it may be difficult to get past the Satyrs. Note: Some people claim that Mymyu has multiple spawning spots, but it just seems they are all within a few feet of each other at /loc X: 109038 Y:41621.

Once you find Mymyu, speak with her. She will tell you the drakes need help recovering their stolen eggs and will give you five options of which drake you could speak with. She will also give you Fairy Dust and a quest item Monk's Hood (or some kind of poison). You are to use the Monk's Hood to speak with one of the Drakes. Your five choices are:

-- Drake Kalibran: West of Oren, on top of a mountain. Kill Road Scavengers along Death Pass and
collect 20 eggs. Return eggs to Kalibran.

-- Drake Exarion: NW of Oren Castle. Kill Leto Lizzardnam Warriors south of Oren and collect 20 eggs.
Return eggs to Exarion.

-- Wyvern Suzet: Between Partisan Hideaway and Death Pass (almost on the "y" of Hideaway on the
in-game map). Kill Breka Orc Overlords north of Giran and collect 20 eggs. Return eggs to Suzet.

-- Wyvern Shamhai: SW of the "D" in Death Pass on the in-game map. Kill Death Seekers at Execution
Grounds to collect 20 eggs. Return eggs to Shamhai.

-- Drake Zwov: End of the river above Iris Lake east. Kill Marsh Spiders to collect 20 eggs. Return
eggs to Zwov.

Above are the mobs you will be asked to kill by each drake and their locations. Kalibran is probably the easiest to find at /loc X:71697 Y:44066, come out of Oren's North exit and walk across the road and up the hill, he is right there.

Speak with your selected drake. Go collect 20 of their eggs by killing whatever stole them and return them to the drake. The drake will let you keep one.

Now go back to Mymyu in Enchanted Valley and she will give you a flute that summons your hatchling (again, which one you get is random). Congratulations on your new addition.

I bought a Dragonhawk hatchling from the cross faction AH in Gadget. After I grabbed it in the Exodar I obviously put it out. Confirming it soulbound. I went and flew somwhere, withdrawing my pet back into my inventory. Eventually I logged out regulerly and hopped back on some time later. It seems that the Pet was not soulbound even after I clicked the past confirmation. So this should let you use it, get bored, sell it...*shrug*
