1) Gather Information
a: Get your server's ip by decrypting your l2.ini which exists in your /system folder. To decrypt it download l2decrypt, search google or a p2p program (e-mule is good). You don't need to decrypt l2.ini on c3 clients coz it's not encrypted.
b: Get your login server's port with the same way. Most of times 2106. The 7777 is the gameserver's port and has nothing to do with the login port
c: Get your protocol version by editing Network.dll in your /system folder with your prefered text editor and find the string (text) " $revision " (you can't do that on c3 clients). The next three numbers are the protocol version. Otherwise download l2-logger and SOCKS 5 (u will also need java machine for this to work). Install the
socks 5 then run l2logger and add your l2.exe full path. Then run it and click on analyze tab. There you'll find all the information you need, containing the protocol version (this method is the best and only for finding C3 server protocol versions). Notice that most of C1 private servers use a standard 419 protocol so before searching try this
Ok. Now you have an ip which looks like this: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx , the port xxxx probably 2106 and the protocol version xxx most of times 419 in c1 servers.
2) Find The correct l2walker version
Versions 10.1.4 and 10.2.3 are great. Other versions will show several error messages such as:
verify fail, login fail, login gameserver fail or you might be able to enter the game although suddenly after 1 second it disconnects you etc... Use only 10.2.3 for C3 prive servers (it's a little buggy sometimes but you can play)
3) Run your bot!
Type your login id and password on the text fields and press login. Be sure that you check your l2walker copy for keyloggers or viruses or any other threat.
The working message looks like this:
Link LoginServer Succeed
Login LoginServer Succeed
Link GameServer Succeed
->Enter Char[x]. (when x is your char number)
Note: There are some modded c1->c2 servers that use an altered/patched network.dll . You might need an ingame version of l2walker to play in such servers.
4) Configure the bot
Depending on your char there maybe some configuration you need to do to be certain that your char is healthy when afking.
Fighter: Remember to load the correct soulshots of your weapon: when Self hp <0 is ok but use every 600-1000ms (depending on your character's speed) to avoid unwanted lag, use healing potions at 60% of hp (minimum), if the char has a healing skill use it OUT of combat by uncheking the box "use in combat". To use short attacks go to the corresponding tab and set the prefered one.
Dwarves spoil and sweep the monsters by default. To play with an artisan or warsmith u should disable spoiling on monsters. To do this go to the monster tab, unmark the "Auto Sweep" checkbox and press all set same. NEVER creep outside cruma tower because there are some second or third floor monsters. The same thing occurs at:
Ant's nest, giants cave, dwarven mines, and other places that have second floors. Set a radius that will not make you fall of a cliff or get you stuck on trees or walls.
Mage: Same with fighters but use blessed spiritshots. Remember to leave a distance between you and the monster depending on your spell. Hurricane is 900 for example. To set the distance go to far attacks tab and check the use far setting then set the number in the box below. As a first skill set your strong skill, as secondary skill set a fast skill but be sure you set a percentage remaining of monster's hp.
Archer: Same with mage. Use soulshots. (u might want to equip a dagger when monster gets close and is low on hp to avoid big soulshot consumption)
Warnings: Avoid beeing traced by GMs. Never use bot when gm is online and of course NEVER auto log out when a
gm whispers but set a loud sound in sound alerts!. The penalty of using a bot in a server is probably ban.
These are only the basic options. Try to figure the rest of them by yourself.
Hope everything works for you
