How to play Hosts server and retail at same time?

Is there a way to play a private server requiring hosts modification as well as retail on the same computer at the same time?

yes.
Decrypt one of the l2.ini files in the systems folder and change the ip.

lol or the easier way u can just open retail or the host private server, then goto ur host file and block out / add in the IP and then open another client.

make 2 direfent system folders but you'll have to patch the l2.ini file in order to make it run.

I made 2 customs here (this is for ct1 anyway)

INSTRUCTIONS

* create 2 new system folders and rename them to:
system1
system2
* edit your hosts files adding this 2 lines
127.0.0.1 lineageserver1
127.0.0.1 lineageserver2
NOTE that the IP 127.0.0.1 is only an example you need to replace those for your server's IPs

Now you are done start from any of the 2 (in fact you can have 3 now using the unedited system one) servers.
