Dual server hosts on the one

Hi, just a quick help on this.

Currently i have 1 server, i want to add another one like,
2moons, for example not channel but SERVER.
siz, rondow, helion etc...

Now i will be setting up the 2 servers 1 client in the same dedi machine.
I have 8 ip's available for use.

I am aware i will need to install a second part for the other db.
My question is what else to i need to edit.

Like in the host section of the server files, im not sure what and where
in the part of the config.ini to change to work.

some ports you can't chnge. you need to debug the server files to edit the ports.
does the dedicated machine have enough ram??

1g port speed.

8 gb, for 1 crappy dekaron server?
virtualize it, and you'lll be able to run +/- 4 different realms

i mean different rates etc etc etc..

assign an ip-adress for each vm.
put up one vm (with only a NAT adapter, and let it run as global database server)
the account database shall be used by all servers, but the character database shall be replicated and renamed.. like character1, characte2 etc..
like that people register 1 account, and can play on all server with that account (different char each "realm")

pretty easy
use some kind of vmware.. block all ports besides the gameserver ports, put a NAT and a BRIDGED adapter on the gaming machines, and a NAT adapter on the database vm. link the gameservers through the NAT adapter to the database server. piece of cake

Hmm ok,
Well i had a different idea.
Hmm, i was going to try virtual box, and now i need a download for windows server 2003,
I was going to set the server up and normal on the dedi,
then re-do it again on the virtual machine with a different ip.
It would be good to have the account shared on the portal but it is confusing me a little.
I think i will struggle a bit :S

as i said. if you need help, let me know about it.
it's not that easy to create a virtual network + a static adress between all those virtual machines (i'd suggest setting up more then 2 dekaron realms since you got more then enough ram )

if you use vmware server/workstation (vmware server is FREE, awesome and has a buch of functionalities which other virtualisation stuff doesnt have!!!) you could even use the 1-click vm i posted.it does contain win server 2003 R2, mssql2000+sp4, xampp and the server. you'd just need to edit some stuff..
(would be the fast solution).
