I was wondering this too... I can't a tutorial on how how to find the protocol ANYWHERE. All of the existing tutorials are outdated and don't work anymore... I'm starting to wonder if there even are any wants to find the protocol right now >_>...
So, now i'm just resorting to guessing the protocol like 300-400 times (protocol #500-900?)... until I find it, but I'm afraid of getting banned or warnned for trying to login so many times... Are there certain ranges for certain chronicles? or is it just plain random?
Btw, if you could pm me or write up a tutorial on how to find the protocol, that would be nice.
(I'm trying to play on an L2 Off interlude or C5 server.)
