Background:
Started scripting as early as 2016 when LeagueSharp was prevalent. Been through a lot of era - OKTW, BOL, Toir, etc. Mainly scripts on SEA region, so there was a long time I was scripting on Garena server and only till last year it was my first attempt to script on official Riot server. English is not my first language, so if you find my writing weird, bear with me.
This IS NOT a paid review. All of the mentioned platforms here were those that I paid with my own money. I’m sharing also NOT trying to convince you that which is the best, I’m sharing with my own subjective view of the platforms I joined. Please don’t be salty if the score doesn’t meet your expectation, everyone is entitled to have their own opinion, if you agree with me, hola, amigo; if you don’t, chill, we can still be a kind stranger to each other.
I’m writing this review because I couldn't find a comprehensive review on the forum. Sometimes I want more info on certain platform, but the review is briefly written and often time I need try it myself. So I decide to share my own review - not to say this is the all-rounded, detailed review, but maybe can serve as a more competent reference guideline to your journey.
Platform's performance is the main focus. Any shenanigans regarding any platform is not of my concern, but you are free to speak up obviously.
The review is an ongoing project, I change the numbers from time to time in accordant to each platform’s latest performance. Usually I will give final verdict after thoroughly and extensively using a platform for at least one month.
The scoring system is inspired by Coach Broeki, but I expand more upon on it to because I think this is better.
Play style/Info:
Highest rank: D1
Main role: ADC
Subsequent Roles: MID, SUP
Style: Legit, conservative
Evade: Mostly manual, rarely auto
Criteria:
Script Diversity: Meaning how many champions are supported by the platform. Eg. LS supports 147 champions out of 163 (as of 2023 Aug) official champions, it covers 90% and it will get a 4.5.
Script Quality: Subjective. The overall quality of the supported champs good:bad ratio.
Prediction: I usually take Blitz, Ezreal, Karthus and Lee to determine the pred performance as they are IMO the best to illustrate how the pred works in different situations, be it in a heat moment or consistent harassment in lane.
Orbwalker: The ability to clear the lane properly under harsh conditions; as well as the ability to be legit. The versatility of the orbwalker such as freeze/fast push, or support mode.
Awareness: The accuracy of the information, and the available information provided (FOW jungle tracking, ward tracking, etc.). Activators and utilities completeness.
Price: Self-explanatory. I do not take entry fee into account, just monthly sub price.
Safeness: Self-explanatory. Also, since there is no middle ground for this, anything detected is scored 0 while undetected remains 5.
Update Speed: How fast does the platform update to match the latest patch, including hot-fix on League.
Update Frequency: Interval for new script or improvement on script.
Noob Friendly: How long would it take for you to setup everything.
Evade (legit): How often will it be called out by others.
Performance: Rendering performance. Lag/FPS Drop/Hardware dependent, etc.
Score Category:
Average: Self-explanatory. This is also the less credible calculation to judge the performance of a platform IMO because it’s just taking everything into account evenly.
MS (/w fds): MS stands for my score, w/ fds stands for with friends. This category mainly focuses on the fun you can get when you play with you friends. Heavy emphasis on for example on Script Diversity, Update Speed, etc.
MS (rk): rk stands for Ranked. It goes without saying its mainly focus on the proficiency of climbing ladder. Heavy emphasis on Script Quality, Orbwalker, Prediction, etc.
safeness is by default a heavy emphasis in MS.
Best for money: Disregarding any safeness, purely counting on the performance/cost, for anyone who might be interested in.
Reviewed/Reviewing Platforms:
BGX, Odin, Advanced Engine, Legend Sense, Disney++
Score:
Reviews:
BGX (4 months+)
Pro:
- Multiple Devs healthy competition leading to excellent script development
- Large user base, meaning more and better feedback directing back to Devs, good reciprocating system
- Incredible script diversity and quality
- Amazing price
- Blazing fast update speed
Con:
- Detectable
- FOV zoom is pretty shitty (regardless if it is safe to use or not)
- Underwhelming prediction and orbwalker
Personal Thought:
Forgive me if this is long because I want to incorporate BGX and BGX + bypass into one.
I like this platform a lot, especially when used with bypass. The content you can get from this platform at this price point has really set a standard on the industry. The extremely active community is also a good place for newbies or veterans to engage with, you can utilize a lot of tools provided by the platform to easily check which tools, script dev, AIO to look out for.
The thing I don’t like is that the prediction is really underwhelming. For a platform this size this huge, and with that many devs working tirelessly on the project, I cannot figure out why the pred is at such state, especially considering that pred is such a key part of a script. Orbwalker is a hit or miss too, sometimes you just cannot kill the creep even though you’re pressing C/V, it just misses before your eyes even though no one is in sight. Noted that there are different orbwalkers available to choose from, but none of the orbwalkers I experienced here can be categorized as top notch.
Another thing that makes me scratch my head is that, a platform this big, and the sheer number of Devs, some VERY popular champ script is pretty wonky. To name a few, Yasuo, Lee or Riven. I understand that its difficult to develop logic-rich champion such as these, but considering how long these champs have been released and how long has the platform grown, it baffles me that, when comparing these champ scripts to other platforms, they are not WOWEE stuff.
Complicated menu UI sometimes disorientates me. For example, if you load 2 utilities that offers same function (ward tracking), holy shit it could really take up a good 15 minutes to find out how to shut down one side of this function to prevent UI overlapping on rift/minimap. Or in some case when summoner spells are activated in both tools(different dev tool), you could accidentally smite a buff unintentionally because one tool is “Off” but the other is “On”. But again, extensive options for customization is a plus and more customization is always welcome.
Despite my rant, with bypass, this is easily one of the best platforms out there. At this price point, once the safeness issue is resolved, you just cannot beat this beast.
Some say even with bypass, when you’re in Apex tier, you will easily get flagged and manual-ed. I personally haven’t had the honor to be at such level and couldn’t tell if this is true. But alas, a piece of extra information wouldn’t hurt, or someone who had such experience can share more info.
For those who might argue that one wouldn’t need a bypass because your account was not banned for OOO amount of time. You’re free to speak up, but I’m speaking from my experience. Regardless if it is bot account, handlv account, HWID spoofed or no rage gameplay, yes, I tried it all, the lifespan of each account doesn’t get longer than 1 month. And 1 month is already a pretty gracious length. Also it NEVER escapes ban wave, at least from my experience, CMIIW. I’ve lost at least 5-7 accounts without bypass, but lost none after using it, so please do not educate me on what I should do or shouldn’t - though you are still welcome to share your own experience.
Legend Sense (3 months)
Pro:
- Incredible scripts, especially those by FH (GP, Riven)
- Competent pred
- Outstanding evade (legit)
Con:
- Detectable
- Expensive
- Rather frequent downtime (although comes with compensation)
- Unnecessary big ass menu UI
Personal Thought:
I really want to like this platform. The fame this platform garnered literally put not only themselves, but also the whole scripting industry into the spotlight for a while on public forum. It’s both a success and a failure IMHO. A success where it proves that it’s that good, a failure that it cannot be discrete enough and risk every other platforms to be “put under magnifying glass” again.
Out of the box, some of the script quality is probably the best I’ve used. Irelia, Riven, GP are all really impressive. These fun champs really shine with their scripts and made you feel so empowered your dopamine probably will keep getting light up all the time. Not all scripts are as good, difficult script champs such as Zoe, Kat and Qyianna are pretty meh IMO.
There is a lot of innovations going on with this platform as well. I couldn’t recall the older innovations, but with recent champion like Naafiri, one of the exploits being that they are able to use the dogs to block skill shots - IIRC this origins from LS, CMIIW.
You can tell how much I appreciate good quality script just by how long I’ve praised LS for. BUT, and this is a BIG ASS BUT, fuck me the price is so expensive. IF this platform is undetected, I’d be okay with this price. But NO, from my experience, most of the ban waves, if not all, HIT LS. 100 bucks/m, such price point is on par with private scripts like zeit, d++, bw; despite bw being detected recently, but at least it was undetected for at least for a whole year, and again CMIIW.
FUCK, but LS isn’t, the detection status is almost as frequent as BGX. If you ask me whether its justified to just script with the good champs with throwaway account for straight month, for me, NO. This means that if you’re unlucky you get hit by 2 waves a month, you’re losing at least 2 throwaway accounts + the progress you made with those accounts + 100 LS monthly fee, that’s probably close to 150 depending on the quality of your throwaway account(s).
And the unnecessarily big ass menu UI, it obstructs the view so much so sometimes when you’re in a heat moment and you need to configure something quick, you can’t. Despite there is already a lot of fool-proof presets that allow you one click setup everything, the fact that they chooses such over the top UI probably just for aesthetic reason, this just baffles me.
If they decrease the monthly subscription price and allow bypass service to service them, I think this will crown over BGX in no time. Unfortunately I don’t see this happen any time sooner, I cannot recommend LS, at least to myself.
xAE - Advanced Engine (2 years+)
Pro:
- Uncontested update frequency and script diversity
- Closest to OKTW vibe
- Above average pred
- Accurate FOW awareness
- Best value
Con:
- Detected
- Some scripts stay outdated
Personal Thought:
I’ve stayed in this platform the longest, for almost 2 years; if it wasn’t that it got hit and detected, I wouldn’t have switched and tested different platforms. It was also then I realized how expensive western scripts really are.
This was the only platform I can say that it has the quickest and fastest script update for latest official release champion across all tested platforms. If the new official champion is ADC, they usually would release and subsequent script update shortly after (1-3 days), and generally a patch interval for general new champion. Eg. 13.5 Naafiri, they would probably release Naafiri script on 13.5.1 patch. It’s that fast. Unless the champ requires a lot of micro-management, eg Rive, K’Sante, etc., the script quality is slightly above average as well. Popular like Yasuo or Lee, IMHO, probably is the best and sleekest scripts I’ve tried, it feels so fool-proof you can just rely on spacebar or Z and thats it.
But, even though they are very adamant on updating scripts, they live by a motto - “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” Literally some scripts are so outdated you can see it’s still operating in pre-rework state. Mundo and Yuumi are still outdated. They really wouldn’t fix a damn thing because the script “works”. You can still play with it.
Another noteworthy is their FOW accuracy. Most of the platforms I tried, when FOW jungle tracking notifies me that enemy jungler is at OOO spot, the accuracy is around 60-70%, meaning that that camp is probably under attack or cleared, and when I head over to the spot / put a ward on it, the jungler is usually gone. But xAE FOW is responsive and fast, the accuracy is 80-90%. If mini-map says blue buff is being attacked, then it is; if it isn’t, the icon vanishes instead of a greyed out/off-on icon lingering their misleading you that it may still be there.
For jungle main, this is the dream tool, I, myself is a jungle noob but because of the accurate information provided, I'm able to trade camps all the time even though I'm behind, this is godsend tbh.
For a mere 25 bucks/m, you get all champion scripts, decent pred, excellent awareness tools, and frequent popular champ script fixes/improvements. The downsides are that it focuses on Asian community (
they support TW, VN, TH server only) and it was recently detected, twice. I believe they are working hard to refine their security since they were legit undetected for almost 2 years before hit, but only time will tell.
Odin (2 months)
Pro:
- External = safer
- As smooth as internal (incredible work)
- Unexpectedly large supported champions
- Wholesome community
Con:
- Noticeably slow update interval (not patch update)
- Considerable amount of outdated scripts / need fixes (major fixes usually gets patched rather quickly)
-
Awareness features limited by technology (
I've been told this has been resolved/fixed)
Personal Thought:
I'm sick and tired to hear people saying "external, thus performance issue." but refuse to elaborate what kind of compromised performance issue we are talking about. So allow me to shed some lights into this. To my surprise, Odin exceeded my expectation and performed very well during my time with it.
At the beginning, I was not familiar with the idea of internal and external scripts. After understanding the difference, I’m surprised to see how smooth the external script performed - it’s as smooth as internals in terms of CS’ing, combo-ing, etc. And I believe devs have poured immense amount of work into making this happen and kudos to them. This was very impressive.
Then, I realized there were sooo many champions supported. To my knowledge, it’s very common to see low supported champion pool in private script community, it’s usually ranged between 20-50; but Odin supports a whopping 88. During my stay I was not able to test all of the champs, but with those that I have tried, they are decent and good enough for you to stomp your opponent. They even have guides provided by community member and a lot of useful information in their community to further assist you into fully utilizing the tool as best as it could. This is probably one of the most wholesome script communities I’ve encountered.
The technology limitation results in limiting awareness features. For me I heavily rely on CD tracking to make in lane judgement whether I should trade or not, but in Odin, you need to rely on your brain as it may not be able to “record” all spell CD. There is a limitations on what it can do.
20-08-2023 edited: I've been notified by Odin dev that this has been resolved or fixed. Since I at the moment do not have enough money to test it myself, I will leave the text I wrote as is, as well as a small update (this little passage) in accordant to dev's latest update for your reference.
Regardless, you can still track FOW jungle camp, which is working amazingly well (to my surprise) and activator, etc all works perfectly fine.
Also, since it's hardware dependent, your PC essentially determines whether it will run smoothly on your PC. Although I heard the requirement isn't harsh, I believe this would be a challenge for some because LOL can essentially be run on a potato. For your reference my CPU is 13600KF and it runs smoothly.
I had to spend a good amount of time to get used to the external script because of the different settings. During my early stay, I didn’t even understand why there is a function to “flash” on activator, and only thereafter I realized in team fight, I couldn’t manually flash away properly because external scripts are pushing all the buttons all at once and my manual command was overwritten by script, I couldn’t flash over the wall to escape, instead I flashed into the enemy and rightfully to my demise.
Though the update frequency between one champ script to another is quite far, to put it simply, dev is less active on improving scripts or making a new one. You are allowed to commission a custom script with some money, but if you’re waiting for something to happen, I’d say you’d have to really wait. devs are kind, but maybe the platform already supports a good amount of champs, they tend to do things in a more laid back manner. Though they do update the loader in a rather quick fashion whenever there is a new patch.
There is a lot of things to fiddle with and learn and I believe this is a good value platform to start with if you are okay with limited awareness capabilities (mainly CD tracking) and spending time to setup everything properly, and of course wanting to keep your account safe. Odin is good.
Disney++ (on-going)
Pro:
- Incredible script quality
- Outstanding and flexible Orbwalker
- Minimalistic yet modern UI and rendering
- Custom DIY script builder
- Rather frequent script update
Con:
- Low official script count
- Below average FOW prediction
- Expensive
Personal Thought:
I’m sure there will be members leaving comment/feedback that D++ is not trustworthy. As mentioned before, any shenanigans regarding any platform is not of my concern, I will focus on their performance only. Sometimes you need to take a leap of faith to build trust with someone, I decided to take that leap of faith and entrusted the platform with my money and so far, I have to admit the experience has been excellent.
Orbwalker in D++ blew my mind. There are 2 additional modes in addition to common orbwalker - aggressive and defensive mode. It’s such a small addition but adds so much more depth to the script. Basically the 2 modes can be boiled down to if the evade is fully on or off, aggr. is off, def. is on; of course you can customize it to your liking. Some champion logic is built around these 2 modes as well, some skills/combos are only used in certain mode and it helps you as a user to not waste ability mindlessly, it gives you more control on what you wanted the script to do instead of just pressing spacebar. All in all the experience with this simple addition is unexpectedly impacting the experience.
Orbwalker also excels in harsh condition such as under the tower CS’ing, the ability to consistently hit 8-9 CS/m is high and I’m very much impressed.
On top of that, it allows user to squeeze all the intense combos under 6-7 CPS (click per second), making it far less "script-ish" and a really nice measurement to counter manual report.
This part is very personal and subjective. I’ve always preferred minimalistic UI and rendering with a touch of modern design. D++ is probably the best out of the tested platforms in terms of aesthetic. I detest rainbow of circles vomit all over the map, it obstructs the view and IMO does more harm than good. Although in other platforms you are able to customize the drawings to your liking, but with different dev comes with different settings, and some does not allow you to make it less visually obstructing.
DIY script builder is a great addition to the core tool. It allows you to build your own script that has yet to be supported by official and the tools provided for you to build, the ease to build one is VERY handy and easy. For simple champions that doesn’t have intricate and overly complicated mechanism tied to combo’ing, the builder really fills the hole and allow you to utilize the platform’s orbwalker and pred to build your own script. Simple champions like Corki, Teemo, or even Lux would work - although you cannot expect them to have crazy combo logic like what official script does. If you’re working on simple logic champion, I’d say most of the time your DIY script is not half bad and it’s good enough for me.
Up to this point, it seems that I’m shilling D++. But no, there are also glaring issues. The FOW awareness is only acceptable. The position prediction is less accurate and responsive than other platform in my experience. At times I found the info misleading because it’s popping random “enemy” on rift but in fact he was at somewhere else. The price on the other hand is also an easy deal-breaker. Even though it has been 4 months since the last detection, it was detected and the idea that my account might be compromised one day makes me nervous. Though at the very least, it has survived 2-3 big ban waves since then, I tend to believe this is safe and will remain safe for a good period of time.
D++ is a breath of fresh air, I didn’t have high hope when I joined, but it has been a pleasant experience so far. I will keep on monitoring the platform’s performance. The supported champion scripts are low, despite its quality, if you’re looking to fool around with your friends in ARAM, this may not be enough (well you can still build the script yourself if you have the time and effort); if you’re looking to climb with quality tools at hands, I vouch for this platform.
Closing Words:
I may continue to review a new platform in the future, but given that it is both time-consuming and costly, it will not be a monthly update. If you found a platform mentioned above got detected or some information I listed here needed update, please let me know.
The next platform I will try would probably be Hanbot. If you have any interested platform that you want me to review, feel free to leave a comment, I will consider reviewing them if the demand is high.
Thank you for reading.
FAQ:
Q: Where can I get more info on xAE?
A: PM for site, I don't want to risk violating rule here.
Q: It's Chinese, I can't read.
A: Google translate.
Q: Which platform(s) are you using right now?
A: D++ mainly, BGX + Bypass when with friends or when I play mid.
Q: Which BGX bypass do you use?
A: It stars with an E.
Q: Why not Odin?
A:
My potato brain has been too reliant on CD tracking, I cannot live without it. According to Odin dev, the issue has been fixed, but unfortunately I don't have the money to re-join and test for the time being.
Q: How to get into D++?
A: You need vouch from members within and an invitation code in order to access their application form.
Q: Can you give me an invitation code for D++?
A: Sorry no. Not that I don't want to, but I've only got limited number of invitations and I can't satisfy everyone if everyone PMs me and asks for one. Unless you have a PTP or BHD invitation to spare.
