Mid advice?

Hello community.

I Have played quite a few normal matches (5v5) but often failed in the mid lane. I'm just looking for some tips to become a better mid laner.

I would like to be able to start ranked as a mid main. but if I try now, I will end up in bronze 4-5 haha.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. (I will be playing 100-200 games of Mid lane before trying ranked)

I am a silver 4 ADC/Top laner at the moment, but I would love to learn mid lane, and climb to gold/plat.

1. Try to play the champs that are strong atm like:
AP: Syndra, Akali, Fizz, Ahri, Orianna, TF, Ryze (+ maybe Zilean)
AD: Jayce, Zed, Yasuo

2. Ofc you need to play a few games with these champs to know how the animations are and what you have to do.

3. Always useful is to watch guides for this champ (on youtube or sth) + guides like on lolpro ( dot ) com -> with guides, builds, runes, masteries, tips & tricks etc.

4. Use the right runes like these (general runes that i use)
AP vs AD: 9x Mpen , 9x Armor Seals, 9x Scaling AP Glyphs and 3x Flat AP Quint
AP vs AP : 9x Mpen, 9x Scaling Health Seals, 6x MR Glyphs, 3x Scaling AP Glyphs and 3x Flat AP Quints
AD vs AD: 9x AD Marks, 4x Armor Seals, 5x Health Seals, 6x CDR Glyphs, 3x MR Glyphs, 3x AD Quints
AD vs AP: 9x AD Marks, 4x Scaling Health Seals, 5x Health Seals, 3x Scaling CDR Glyphs, 6x MR Glyphs and 3x AD Quints

5. Look for good masteries (maybe even a mastery page for only that champ).

6. Get a feeling when to poke, when you should go back, know your dmg, know how much dmg you will get etc.

7. Know the champs and their skills you are playing against.

8. Dont be too greedy. xD

if you are silver 4-5 just play someting easy like lux or orianna

I played some games with Syndra or Riven Midlane, they don't know how to Counter those 2 Champs(in silver). The perfect Counters for Syndra are Orianna and Lux(because of their
shields and their high range).

Lol you guys have no clue how this game works. Give him advices he can im prove on; not champs you can play well or are perm banned.

Du solltest dir nicht überlegen bzw. fragen wie du Mitte zu spielen hast, sondern was du gut kannst und was dir am meisten Spaß macht. Kannst du gut farmen? Hast du gutes decision making? Hast du gute mechanics? usw.

je nachdem ergibt sich die geeignete Position und Champion. Wenn du einfach mitte spielen willst und nicht zwingend höheres elo sein möchtest und das einfach nur aus spaß spielst, kannst du dies machen.
Ist dein Ziel Gold/Plat oder höher, solltest du mostly deine beste lane spielen.

The only champ out of the ones you mentioned he should play is Orianna.

Hi.
i main midlane since i play lol, im actually platin in had about 700 ranked games this season. i bet abozt 500 are midlane.

actually i could just give ONE advice.
play annie and watch this stream as much as you can ().

since it is very easy to lasthit with annie farm should not be the problem.
if you want to play midlane and want to carry you should usually play high-burst (1shot) champs and you should roam to botlane after lvl 6 real often.

when you get your dfg (buy 2 dorans rings then rush dfg) you should easily be able to 1shot the enemy adc already! thats how you carry. stack your passive and hit the ult with the stun. do this in your full combo on whoever is fed in the enemy team and its literally a 4v5. even using flash is worth.

just keep trying in normals and soon you will be high gold easily. yes im serious.

Uhm i wanted to say which mid laners are probably the strongest atm and i think that fits.
Why should he only play Ori?

Because you need a good team if you want to win with Orianna?
Thats the reason why you see Orianna so rarely in soloq

Yea you´re right with saying that these are the strongest midlaners currently.
But as a silver player ( who is even new to midlane ) he shouldnt play champs like zed or jayce who require high mechanical skill to be really effective.

He rather should focus on mechanical easier midlaners so he can rather focus on stuff like map awareness ingame.

So I´d recommend Orianna ( shes not easy but even if shes not played on a good level shes still pretty strong ) , Annie , maybe Ryze and Lissandra.

Yea Annie is a really strong pick in pretty much every elo.
I usualy advice to get mobi boots at first back.
( First back with ~ 1,3k so u can get mobi boots and another dorans )
Then just roaming bot or top ( depending on matchups ) every time tibbers is up.

Ryze Annie are perfekt.. easy to play and your jungler has a easy way to gank
