Controversy over Zoomhack

I received a warning for using an "unauthorized" program that increases my zoom out to match those of different aspect ratios WITHOUT buying a new monitor to support it.

This video, , shows the difference between ONE MONITOR and THREE MONITORS. Why should someone who has the money be able to have an advantage over someone who coded, or had someone code something to do this? It's a UI Mod, not a hack, people just labeled it like so.

Riot has been pretty fond of the term "We do not sell power". People who buy a couple of monitors go against this; but while I use a program, I'm considered the bad guy?

If this company has any problem with said "Zoom Hack" then please use black bars/black screens to censor other aspect ratios; otherwise, a banning of using this program is unjust.

TL;DR

"Zoom Hack" isn't a hack, it's a mod to allow others to match the aspect ratio of people who have the money to buy a few more monitors.

Still, it's a modification of the client. The only thing Riot could do is to add this function by themselves to make it fair for everyone, which I guess they won't.

Yea it's a modification but they say you get an advantage and this is wrong. It's just fair.

should be easy 2 bypass though i didnt take a look at it so far.

as far as i know constantly.

I feel like it's not constantly though. Because it will make their server more occupied/players to lag. I think It's either start of the game or end of the game.

max zoom range? means current zoomed range, or means the max allowed range? because im simply bridging the asm code which checks if i reached max, but max range stays same...

We do not allow the use of any unauthorized third party programs, including but not limited to "mods," "hacks," "cheats," "scripts," "bots," "trainers," and automation programs, that interact with the Software in any way, for any purpose, including, without limitation, any unauthorized third party programs that intercept, emulate, or redirect any communication between the Software and Riot Games and any unauthorized third party programs that collect information about the Game by reading areas of memory used by the Software to store information.

To avoid punitive actions you will need to comply with the email to avoid punitive actions. I am sincerely sorry.

Sadly, this is not what I was asking.

This is a copied and pasted response and I do not appreciate it what-so-ever.

I know you do not allow third party programs but the program I use does not "intercept, emulate or redirect" any communication between the Software and Riot games, nor does it collect information about the game by reading areas of memory used by the Software to store information.

If I wanted a copy and paste of the ToS then I would've done it myself.

I want a definitive answer to my question:

WHY ARE 3 MONITORS ALLOWED WHEN I CAN'T USE A SIMPLE PROGRAM TO DO THE SAME THING.

This applies to all third party software used in game. We have been sending out emails to accounts that have been found using extra software in game. If you haven't received this email then you are fine for now. If you receive and email telling you to remove it you will need to in order to avoid punitive actions.

Again; the ToS does not apply to all 3rd party programs; for each one made there is a different copyright which means a different authorization. I have a creep timer that hooks into the game and times allied jungle creeps when they are killed; is that illegal too?

Third party programs can give players an unfair advantage. I highly recommend removing all 3rd party programs to avoid punitive actions. I have no further comments or information to add.
