I don't know how to work with packets is there any other way? Like modifying some files and patching to look like original? I want to hide it for myself, not for everyone.

Im curious to find out how to get rid of these horrible flashy skill souls. They do look pretty but in crowded areas they can completely ruin my FPS.
Ive done a bit of digging in the co directory but I cant seem to spot the files responsible for these effects.
Any pointers on what files to edit if its even possible?
Also what program should I best use to make them less intrusive?
