Moderator Application [Conquer Online Private Server Advertisements]

Hello,

The reason for your application:
So as heavily discussed in the thread placed in the Conquer Online Private Server Discussions section there might come a plan existence to move dead/offline servers into a separate section within the Private Server Advertisement section. This would result in the regular Private Server Advertisement section having only a handful of threads containing servers that are currently online for more than a week and have a regular player base.

As I've understood there is no possibility that Pro4Never is allowed to do this, because he is "biased due to owning his own server". In case you need somebody to do it, I am able to. I do not have many posts, and am mostly a lurker within this section. However, I am online every day and follow what is happening.

If Pro4Never gets appointed this task, disregard this application as there would be no need for it. But if it is against policy to have him do it, then I am willing to clean the section up and maintain it. Obviously, I do not own a server myself and am therefore, unbiased.

The postcount, eh? Fair point. Well, if they truly think postcount shows the amount of involvement then that's fine by me. I'm simply offering my help.

I don't think your application has much chance in its current state. Some things you can do to improve it might be to report more often, post to the section more often (doesn't need to be developments and such, just needs to be well worded with good tone and generally helpful), maybe go for the entire section rather than one forum (since that's how epvp works). I wish you best of luck, but you might have to work a bit more towards improving your chances.

It's just to offer help really. I know the section, and it's the only one I really browse, so for me it made sense. All though ePvP staff might think differently.

About the reporting or posting, as I told you I browse more than that I post (which shows in my post count). Since I mainly only browse in that section there's not much to post. If I see a bad server or whatever, sure I could point it out, but I just don't have the energy to do that 90% of the time.

As I said, I'm here to offer help. If the ePvP staff decides they do not want it that's totally fine by me. I know I'm active and I browse it everyday. Having to mod it doesn't add that much work for me. It's mainly at their convenience, especially since Pro4Never can't do it anyway they'd need a new mod.

Why don't you apply though? You're active enough and you post enough, go for it.

I appreciate the consideration, but I have other commitments this summer. I really hope the best for your application though. If not now due to moderator requirements, maybe some time down the road I'll see you as a moderator. I do like the positivity you bring to the section when you are active. Again, best of luck.
