Application [Rappelz],[Rappelz Private Server]
- My contact data can be made available if you PM me. I have certain reasons that I do not want it to be made public, posted on a forum board.
- I am 43 years old
- The forums in question lack moderation and because of the lack of moderation they are starting to lack organization. Sticky threads are outdated.
- I have played the game on retail servers since 2008. I have been a member of EPVP since 2012 and have been an active member of the forum sections mentioned for the 2 years I have been here. I am well versed in computer related programming, which has allowed me to be very helpful with other forum members who are trying to learn how to set up their servers.
- I tend to deal with people as well as needed for a forum venue. Their are many users of the forum sections mentioned who suggested I apply and agreed they would support my application.
- I have been a moderator for Rappelz retail servers through two different publisher ownerships. I moderated for the game Sevencore for a retail publisher. I moderated for the game Prius under the same publisher. The games Prius and Sevencore both closed for inactivity in the games. I recently retired from moderating Rappelz retail because of differences I had with one of the Game Managers but left on good terms. I am usually sought out for moderation by the publishers I play with because of my technical experience and help in their technical forums. I was recently asked to moderate another game and declined because it was the same publisher that I had chosen to retire from.
I am sure my application will come with support from the community that I am a part of, and look forward to assisting that community in keeping their boards organized.

I think that Thndr is honestly the best for this job. he is the only one keeping that section from crashing since Xijezu (current moderator) isn't even connecting or doing anything for the last months .
Good luck mate

Ich habe thndr schon in meinem complaint wegen Xijezu vorgeschlagen! Die Sektion braucht einen neuen Mod sonst ist sie bald komplett unübersichtlich!

Dear Epvp Staff, I think you should accept his application
since there is was no moderator on for almost 2 years, and the section started getting messy with random threads and most of them are useless or reposts.

I'm sorry, but it's a no from me.
Whether your section has a moderator or not, which indeed it does, this ( ) is not allowed.

As a moderator you are not allowed to be involved in any p-srv projects.

I am sorry I have nulled the thread I did not know it was against the rules for someone running for a position to advertise as such.
Whatever is decided however is no issue for me.
If EPVP decides it wants to allow the forums to be run into the ground then so be it.

If it's forbidden to inform the section about the appliction it should be posted in the rules for this section...
I can't find anything saying that it's forbidden...and if he can't see it somewhere he can't know that he isn't allowed to post it...

It really shouldn't be needed to be in the rules. It's common sense. If your section wants you to become a moderator, they will support you. The most you can do (which I did too) is put your application in your signature, keep your reports high, make sure your section abides by the rules (although, try not to backseat moderate) then hope for the best.

And this is not an attitude a moderator would have. You are supposed to be supportive towards your section, with a positive attitude. Not "if I don't get accepted, heh, the section will die".
EDIT: From a moderator who got recently promoted, I think you should take some time out and think about the decision, and whether it's really what you want. You seem to be too hot-headed when it comes to negative responses. Again, a kind of attitude which a moderator wouldn't have.

It really does need to be in the rules.
If it is not in the rules then it should not be against the rules.
Yet let me just be clear on this...I am allowed to advertize my application in my signature but not allowed to create a thread in my forum section to advertise it. However this is not listed in any rule list anywhere that I am not allowed to do this?
My common sense tells me at 43 years old, that a politician running for a position should be allowed to campaign.
If people do or do not support that politician then they should be allowed to come and vote.
If I just PM a bunch of supporters I am applying and fail to tell anyone who may be against it then the votes in my favor would turn out very one sided, would they not?
If there is a thread in the forums section then that allows people who may not be in favor of it to know where they may come and vote against it.
JMO, I will let the forum administration decide, it is better than holding lengthy arguments in my application thread.

You fail to get my point, but I'll let you proceed. Good luck for the future.

I think it is a conflict of interest they are trying to avoid to keep a moderator from being subjective against other members servers.
I would have supported c1ph3r anyway but they closed the topic.

You mean this? It was related to my application for a mod...

If it is common sense why don't normal members know about it ?
Is that really how to be moderator ? Just spamming Reports & put some words that in my signature ? That's BS

I Don't think you really know what is going on in that section ? If you do then you should know that our moderator didn't do his job for almost 1 year & that section got spammed by random & frustrating threads. If you don't then why taking that wrong attitude about him from one post.
Also thndr was the most helpful & answered Those random & frustrating threads with no problems or negative attitude, he even answers all questions posted .
If admins don't accept his application, that section will be more messy than ever
