Application Form Shaiya

ICQ: N/A

EMAIL:

Age: 24

Why do you want to be moderator?

I want to become moderator because I frequent the Shaiya forum a lot and see that it needs a more active mod. The forum needs to be cleaned up a lot to stop the confusion. I believe that I am a big part of the community there now; I also believe I have a lot of first hand knowledge in the game and of the game (game mods and such) that would allow me to be a big help.

How much experience do you have with the issue from the forum you apply for a moderator job?

As stated above I play the game so I have the experience from that. I also one of the few people researching and providing mods and programs for the game, I am also working with the others who do the same. I’m a strong believer in that knowledge should be free. I try my best to share the knowledge that I have to help others or at least point them in the right direction.

Do you have enough time to visit the board about every two days and to put enough effort into the job?

I believe I do, I’m on there at least every other day, but most of the time I’m on here multiple times per day. I work a very relaxed computer job during the day so I find myself frequently on these forums.

Did you take part there before you sent your application?

Yes I have. I started just viewing the forum for awhile, reading through all the stickies, all the post and learning as much as I could before I started to post. That’s when I realized that there needs to be a more active moderator in that forum, cause from my first hand experience there was a lot of out dated material on there that was causing confusion.

Are you able to handle questions and questioners of which you think that they are very stupid?

Yes I do, I like to help end confusion and point people in the right direction. I believe that no question is stupid, but there are stupid answers, and most of the time those simple repeated questions could be prevented from being asked if the forums was easier to find updated information.

Can you act appropriate/mature with other human beings?

I sure can, most of the time, you know that at times you just can’t help but be direct with some people. Other than the very few exceptions, I am good with people, seeing that I have a real life job that requires me to be!

Have you ever operated as a moderator before?

Yes I have, on a few other smaller forums. I used to me a general moderator on a computer programming forum that ended up shutting down, and I was also an admin moderator for a forum that I helped co create, but that isn’t near the size of this website.

Anyways, please review my application and look at my post on the forum, I know my post and thank count are lower but I know I can be a big help to the community.

Thanks

lilprohacker

PS. Please keep in mind that I'm applying for the Shaiya Section Moderator, Which the Shaiya section is quite small, meaning that I don't get the opportunity to response and make many posts, which is why my post count is low. I am however very active and helpful in that section which you can see if you check it out.

Thank you for your quick response. I know I have been on this forum for only a little while but in that time I realized that it needs help in the shiaya section. I found this site when I started looking for mods for the game and realized that it is the best site for them but the information was hard to find, so that's when I decided to piece together the information that I could find and start posting my own mods and such so others that come here looking for info could find it easier. As for my post count, I mostly read the forums. I believe that I don't need to fill the forum up with useless one line replies unless its helpful. Plus the Shaiya section isn't all that big so replying to questions and such doesn't require many responses. Same goes for thank count.

I have read all the stickies and I do fill all the requirements except the post count. The main reason for posting for a mod position is more of a plea to help clean up the shiaya forum and make it easier to find information. I don't think that my smaller post size makes me any less helpfull to this site. My post size will increase with time, as I plan on being here posting and helping others as needed. And Polypropylen, I do thank you for your help and your guidance for others in the shaiya forum, but like I said, My application is more of a plea for help in the shaiya section. I would be happy with anybody becoming a new mod if they would clean it up.

thanks
u know i apply too for this position!

and you're right, the number of posting says nothing and comes with the time...(there are users with 1.000postings and 90% of them are ****)

but i think too, 50+ posts aren't enough

so from my side one YES and one NO

I'm reopening my App. We need a mod in the Shaiya section more than ever. As for late there has been tons of releases from myself and others that are getting lost among the outdated material since we don't have a Moderator. Not only do I share alot of my knowledge and my programs I post exclusively to e*pvpers and I put links to this forum in all of my programs which brings in more people which means more traffic for the site. Anyways please review my latest posts and decide. Thanks

Well....from my point of view...for the job you did so far I give you a YES...however your stats are not high enough. idc about thanks, I'm talking about post count. We don't want to see newbies posting mod applications with 100 or less posts. But other then that, if admins don't mind the stats it's a yes.

Thanks for your input, as for the post count you have to keep in mind that the shaiya section is very small still, and seeing that is the only place I post currently, I have limited posts I can respond to and create. My post count will continue to grow as I am and will be an active member of theses forums for a long time.

lph
