Creativity means not writing an application, that just gets done each of the asked questions. Maybe writing 1 complete text with some more facts about you would improve this a lot.

John exactly told you, what I tried to tell. This application just seems not to be professional enough to me.

EDIT: Not a personal assault obviously, you are just not the right person for the silkroad section, you lack both experience with the game itself and respect for our 'greatest' members. Until you work on both points, I don't think there is any room for you in our section. You just don't know who we are and that's why most mods come from inside the section itself.

Howsoever, users complaining about your application are striking a nerve. I came to value your very own style of writing, though you need to be more serious and also more elaborate (concerning the word choice) when it comes to an application. A pitty you wouldn't fix it.

It's not his application we dont like, its how he moderate. cause he is alot of the moderators' friends doesnt even mean he is good at moderating the silkroad online section, so stop saying YES cause he is your friend or ex-mod.

Before Bane was a Moderator on the SRO section I used to go there and read a lot; I also reported a lot of off-topic/insult/spam/wrong section posts/threads; that section was a total mess, unorganized and un-moderated at all, with basically everyone doing whatever they wanted to.

After Bane got his Moderator position in this section, it became a clean section, easy to browse everything and way more enjoyable to read, as there were useful threads/posts without those trolling posts that you could find everywhere.

Besides of what has been said about this application, I still say yes, because the fact that people don't like how someone moderates a section, doesn't mean that he/she is doing it wrong, and in this case, he never did anything wrong while moderating the SRO section.

With all due respect, you may know a lot about moderation and have a lot of experience, but the way Bane handled it caused more issues than it solved. I know that it was a hard task but bringing an outsider in is not a good idea. I have no idea why all the mods and admins like him, but that shouldn't be the sole reason for him to be a mod in our section. Feel free to ask around in the silkroad section, and tell me how many people actually liked his actions. Not only does he know nothing at all of the section, his english is also bad and the combination of both will make him unable to judge whether A has something to do with B, or even with silkroad in general.

nothing personal bane, as long as you moderate a section you have experience with, shaiya for example.

The section is desperatly in need for new management, but I do not think bringing outsiders in is a good idea, we have more than enough active members in the section itself, why not bring somebody from the inside out?

Before Admins decide on whether to accept him back or not, they must take account on what the actual members of SRO say about him and what current Mods are saying...These members are a everyday users of the section and if they are giving reasons on why they do not want him back it is because he is not doing a good job. If you carefully look at every post made by a mod all of it say something like this : "Welcome Back"/"What Took You So Long"/ "Yes, I like him"....

Okay, you guys want him back cause he is your friend and he is good with you or some personal reason on why you want him back. But according to the members,which you should take to account that they are every day users to this section,they say he has done horrible job making decisions as a moderator and do not want him back.

Do no say yes because he is your friend and you like him for whatever reason, say yes if he has done a good job on handling situations.

If I want to have him back in our team, then I vote so. Just because I am currently a member of the staff doesn't mean my vote would count more than a normal user's vote does. The administration will consider all the evaluations given and will then objectively judge whether Bane is gonna make it or rather not. Anyways, what I actually wanted to say is: Don't try to forbid anybody to speak.

Honestly i believe Admins take everything in count, including how many people actually support it for stupid reasons. This does not mean it actually takes count, i just think it does.
This is an Application for Moderator, this section should not have any posts saying yes or no. This should be for straight Applications, then the only post in the application should be Administrators Only.
But since admins have not taken this to account or enforced it people do what they like in this section.

One more thing, "Don't try to forbid anybody to speak", no one is saying do not post your opinion...we are just saying be reasonable and look at his actions and don't say "yes" to gain post counts and to get someone back who does a horrible job at moderating just because he is your friend or you like him.

I kinda lost respect (even though i never knew them or had any respect for them) for moderators who said yes for those ridiculous reasons.

This app shouldn't turn into a flame war.

I won't say anything about the critismism I'm getting, if anything I will just use it to help me be a better mod if I am accepted back, I know a lot of people in SRO hate me, but I also know I did have a fan base, mabey the people that did like me won't post, mabey I won't even return as a mod.

Whatever happens it is Luke, John and SALO's desicion not ours, although the feedback has weight to it, it isn't a death sentence.

Also, the mods that support me don't do it because we are, "freinds", I hardly even talked to some of them who voted yes/sent me a Pm saying to come back, they like me because they saw how I moderated and liked it.


One last little edit: I know that you guys are mad because it sempt that I didn't respect your "high up members", I know who you are talkeing about and I know this is about some of the moderation choices I made to deal with them. but I want you to know the mod staff uses team effort, if I requested to ban anyone, they are treated as a normal user, and a G-Mod/Admin will look into the situation and ultimatley decide if they should be banned/if my infraction should keep weight.

Also if for even a second they thought that I was causing more issues then solveing, (remeber that SRO is a huge section and many high up staff check it daily), I would have been removed. Which I was not.


Just my opinion though, I take no offense to anything you guys say, so don't worry about that.

it was never intended to make the section admin-only. then you could also write your application via PM.
it is explicitly wished that all members post their opinions.

Well, if you lost respect for us (mods supporting Bane) you are not being as objective as you want to show you are, because, at least from me, you have read my reason to support him, and it doesn't have anything to do with a friendship or with "me liking him" it is based on his work on the SRO section only.

What I clearly see in here is the normal reaction (that takes place in real life) when, for example, at school a teacher is "too" strict, so this comes to kids hating on him/her due to this fact (didn't we all hated a teacher like this when we were in school?) but then, years later when you have grown up enough to understand it, you are grateful with this specific teacher you hated that much simply because if he wasn't that strict, you wouldn't have accomplished many goals in your life.

If you are capable of getting the sense of this little example, you will see my real point on this.

User's feedback is taken into account as same as other mod's feedback, but also a "check" of the posts/threads made by the applicant are taken into account, and this has more weight on the decision taken by out Administrators while choosing someone to be part of the team. And this is an objectively way of choosing someone.

I agree with MrSm!th.
I don't know about the SRO section, but I saw him moderating the Shaiya section. I just want to say that Bane was a great, helpful mod there.
Bane receives my full support for his comeback.
