I myself, have no knowledge on computer parts or how to build a pc. I have a friend who told me if i bought parts, he would sit next to me and guide me on how to put everything together. So far I found a few things that I wanted, but i went over my budget which was 800-900. My major concern was the motherboard, power supply, and video card. I normally play mmo's but i wanted a nice card that would last me a good 2-4 years.
Approximate Purchase Date: 1 month from today
Budget Range: 800-950 before rebates.
System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming
Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, and monitor got my razor gear
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg or tigerdirect
Parts Preferences: none
Overclocking: Maybe but for the most part probably no
SLI or Crossfire: Yes / No / Maybe
Monitor Resolution: 920x1080, 1920x1200)
Additional Comments: My biggest concern was that i was looking at a GTX 560 Ti 2gb, but I dont know how overboard that would be. What my friend told me to look for most was something that would be cost effective, while serving my needs. So far this is what my cart looks like on newegg.

So far the only thing im set on is that i know i want 8gb ram because from what i hear, 16 doesnt make a huge difference for games i play. Same thing with the i5 compared to i7. But the ram, i5, and case are the only things that so far im 100% set that i know i want.
Thank you, I really appreciate any insight received.
