I have repeated everything like before.

1. Download the new GWA2.file from

2. i put this file inside the bot folder which i want to update
3. processed the patcher on each file excpet for the nwe GWA2.file
4. Run the bot--> Error Message

Error:

Line 4 (FileC/......../GWA^2):
#include "GWA2_Headers.au3"
Error: Error opening the file.

When i change the Name from GWA2 to GWA2_Headers like in the guide another error Message appears:

Line 158 (FIle:C/..../GWA^2.au3)
</option><form class="js-site-search form"data-scoped.... ....>
Error: Unterminated string.

Can someone help me pls?

I asked in my main post to not send me pms for help on the patcher anymore. Just post here and I will help if I understand your post and you give me enough info to help. This way others may benefit from the answers as well. No idea why would post here and send the exact same text as a pm.

The main reason I didnt answer your last post was that I just couldnt understand what you wrote. It didnt really make sense, was badly spelt and lacked any information about the errors.

Now to answer your questions:

My patcher and tjubutsi's gwa2 are two different solutions to the same problem. You apparantly mixed those two approaches. Deleting and renaming the files made it even worse I guess.

If you updated your bots with tjubutsis gwa2, then downloading the newest version of that should work. Please ask for help in his thread, if you used his gwa2 to fix your bots intially.

If you used my patcher on that bot intially, you will only have to download the updated gwa2_header file. Patch once, then replace only the gwa2_header file for future header updates.

In the readme I suggested to make a backup. Use a copy of your backup to replace all files you touched since the update, patch them with the newest version of my patcher and put the gwa2_header file into your bots folder.

Next time there is an update that breaks the headers, just do what the readme says and replace only the gwa2_header file with the newest version.

You will find an uptodate header file on my github. I already advised you to get the current version of the patcher, it will include the header file. In the readme I state that tjubutsis variable naming is not compatible with mine. You noticed correctly that haendlers gwa2_headers are outdated.

Your error messages look like HTML code. Make sure you download the raw files only and not the github page itself.

For the second part of your question let me cite myself:

I must admit that at first I was hesitant to use the patcher (simply due to being stuck in my old ways of updating headers myself).

I finally used it, and it worked like a charm!

Agreed, yet to have a problem with it. It is beyond me why the people in the main bots thread can't figure out how to use this patcher.. but I guess that requires them to use effort.

Updated to 1.6

I made the patcher easier to use. Now you have to select the main folder of your bot and the patcher will patch all files inside it and its direct subfolders. It will ignore all subsubfolders and folders nested deeper.

For example: "Bot\gwapi\party.au3" would be patched if you selected the folder "Bot".
"All Bots\Bot\gwapi\party.au3" would not be patched if the folder "All Bots" was selected.

Also the patcher should now copy the header file into the bots main folder.

This makes especcially patching gwapi bots way faster and more comfortable.

I didnt test everything, so if you find errors, please report them.

edit:
Apparantly copying the header file doesnt always work. IDK why, I didnt really check so far. Make sure to check whether the header file was copied or not.

Headers changed, updated the gwa2_headers file on github.

No idea about those other errors you guys posted, I didnt encounter them so far and therefore didnt need to fix them.
