Extract 3d models from GW?

Can i grab a 3d model from GW? I would think it would be possible but idk

I dont know a tool yet which allows to extract the dat file. But you could extract them if you use the directx sdk, requirements are C++ or whatever.

Basically what Marie said, only it has allready been implemented into a program. Just read the instructions on the website on how to use it.

Transparency and shaders might require additional work though.

This tool looks like it could be it, but is i don't have 3ds max. There is usually another alternative for like blender or something. I looked for a .3dr plugin and couldn't find one. I tried renaming the file type to 3ds and various other 3d extensions. Is there a way to get around this?
