gw2 ban question

Hi , im curious what if lets say i bot on my alt account , and they catch me , will my main get perma banned too? and also 1 more question i read up, my friend got temp ban on his alt for using macros , to lets say bot , does he need new acc and to reinstall winsows and redownload gw for safety? thanks

You will only get banned on the account you bot on. Your other accounts wont be touched. As well as your friend dont need to reinstall windows, nor does he need to reinstall gw2. He just needs a new account.

If you are that paranoid, stop botting.

Since it's been like 8 months since the post, he can sure tell us what happened.

About your main, I read that GW2 can also make a Hardware ban (not something they always do), so I guess in that case it will ban every account that logs from the specific computer.
