Tut: How to Edit GC Texture

This tutorial is going to teach you how to gc hack.

Like this

Ok first there are some things that you need to download.

1. .Kom editor. this will allow you to see images in .KOM files.
Download:

Credits: Frostblaze of elitepvpers.

2. .DDS converter 2. This will allow you to edit image files
Download:

Credits: No idea. Lol sorry

Okay, now that you downloaded the programs time to get started.

Step one. Extract the .Kom editor to a place like your desktop.
Step two. Go to your Grand Chase folder and select the texture file. You can select any file there.
Step three. Copy the file, and put it in the komedit folder.
Step four. Run unpacker.bat and enter the file name without the KOM extension
Step five. Start up DDS Converter 2, then go into your komedit folder and select any .DDS file you like. Like this

Step six. Click options, and make the .JPG quality to 99%
Step seven. Convert the image and make sure the output is .JPG
Step eight. Open the picture and edit it any way you want.
Step nine. Once you are done editing save, then go back to the DDS Converter 2 and make sure the input is .JPG and the output is at .DDS. Then convert.
Step ten. Copy the .DDS file you edited and paste it in the komedit folder. Make sure it replaces.
Step eleven. Make a new folder, drag all of the contents of the folder you exported
Step twelve. Run Packer.bat, here comes the tricky part. Enter in the exact location of the files that you unpacked, press enter. It should look something like this

Step thirteen. Type in the original file of the folder you exported, then press enter.
Step fourteen. It should pack a file, in the komedit folder. Copy the file and put it in the texture folder of your Grand Chase folder. It should replace.
Step fifteen: Run the bypass of grand chase and see your awesome textures!

I dont know if this tutorial is already made, but I figured this out by myself. Dont forget to thank me if I helped.

did you see items when you were opening some .dds files?ive been looking for a program like this before thank you for sharing it. it may not look like it but this that converter is very useful.

Man this is not a hack, you are just changing your game UI

And i dont know why you use such a hard method, i open the .dds files with my Photoshop ;/

Edit: And it appears that the image quality is lowered alot with this method

Itens images are on sbta0.kom~sbta24.kom and if you want to know this for what i think, the itens id in database are not the same as the numbers on the texture's name

I dont think the DDS converter works for windows vista or windows 7.
