[MaxScript] Animation layers help

ok so im not sure im in the right section but i think "MaxScript" is considered coding.
anyway,
lets say i have a box with 3 animation layers [BASE,Move,Rotate] and Move&Rotate have some animation keys in them
problem is i tried getting those key frames but it just returns empty array

$Box.position.controller.keys

so is there a special way to get key frames from layers?
P.S: i did activate the layer before i did all this so itsnt the problem
