Minecraft is already turning into money-grab.
With bedrock edition, they are making people (mostly gullible kids) pay for skins, texture packs and maps.
Better altrenative would be Hytale, which is coming out very soon.

I've tried to open a MMO Minecraft server myself, but I didn't have the necessary STAFF members. They were busy doing another things, so I had to stop the project. Still this is a nice idea. Is the server still alive?

It's an old f2p korean MMO action game(released on October 17th, 2006)which comes to English recently. Gameplay is similar in style to Rakion with separate game rooms for players to enter, and players have the option of using a mouse and keyboard or a controller to contol their character.
