The Fall of Cybertron is the sequel for the previous game Transformers: War on Cybertron.
Every bot will be getting his own special ability; for example, a developer of the game said that Optimus Prime is very powerful and to "show him off" he will be able to control Metroplex, a robot much larger than any autobot or decepticon, Starscream can fly and turn invisible, and Jazz has a grappling hook.
He also said that although there are normal guns such as shotguns in the game, the game is based in a Sci-Fi world and thus there are different guns available such as the Lightning gun and a life-leeching gun.
One can buy and upgrade gear and weaponry. The developer said that because of these special abilities and the different weaponry, there's potential for "different play patterns."
The development team has focused on the core gameplay first. It was very "hard" for the team to design the large, spacious levels available in the game.
The game will be released on the 31st August on XBox 360, PS3 and Windows in Europe.
