Square Enix show us a glimpse of true next-gen graphics

Yesterday, Square Enix gave us a look at their new "Final Fantasy real-time tech demo". Agni's Philosophy is a video that shows us real-time rendering, and the future of video games. This demo is running on the company's new Luminous Engine, rumoured to be the engine for Final Fantasy Versus XIII or Final Fantasy XV. This, of course, is just a tech demo, so we can't expect any of these games to look exactly like this.

Absolutely next gen, the only thing that could run something like that now is a top-of-the-range computer with 2-4 gigs of GPU power. At least :s

Well Sony have mentioned that they're aiming to be the best for next gen, not the cheapest, and not the first. I just hope it's not as much as the PS3 was on release.
