Bullet Run: (Closed Beta Review)

Bullet Run, is the Latest Online game made by Sony. It is an intense yet stylish fps-rpg. Bullet Run mixes the creative graphics of Borderlands with some realism of Ghost Recon. It has an interestingly brilliant storyline. I'll get into that in a bit. Bullet run just came out in Closed Beta just a few days ago and so far i've spent about 8 hours on the game. The game types are for the moment: Team Death Match, and Domination. Team Deathmatch is the usual Team vs Team games, where players battle it out til time runs out. There are 6 arenas (so far) that are creatively designed. They each have their own unique feel while your playing, offering players many environmental positives to use against their enemy. The game is lobby based like most fps, but finding matches is extremely fast. there is a way to participate in the closed beta; All you have to do is sign up on the official site with just your email, then just wait. They are picking 25-50 emails per day to gain access to the game.
Add attachments towards your guns, and change the color scheme.
Duel Wield any one hand guns in the game, take advantage of the increased clip size.
Taunt your oppoenant after you kill them for extra "heat". More heat you get the more fame you get at the end of the game.
BackStory:
Bullet Run is the hottest new reality TV game show. In Bullet Run it's not simply gaining the kill that wins you fame. Style and attitude, combined with a hair trigger and cat like reflexes will bring contestants the fame they so desperately desire. This Game show uses "real" people to battle it out to gain fame anyway they can get it.
Positives:
-Bullet Run offers players many different ways to slay an opponent. (knifing, beating them with claws, mortifying them, zaping, causing the enviroment to fall on the oppoenant, knee slide kills, and more)
- The customazation has a nice variety to give players enough to make their character's unique. Although there isn't tons you can do at first as you rank up you will unlock many different items and color schemes.
-Ranking up isn't to hard, since the game system is smooth people can get a decent amount of kills easily.
-Active Reload System. A system similar to the active reloading in Gears of War. After you run out of ammo a little circle will appear and if you hit r in the green little square you reload 6x faster then you would if you waited til the circle disappeared. Your damage is altered just a little bit for a short period of time.
-Implanted Skill System to where you get skills like you would in a fantasy MMO.
-Detailed attachment modding. Similar to the CoD style modding but not as many different attachments, but more different color schemes.
-Intense Game Matches. All of the matches last for at least 10 minutes. The maps aren't huge, but just big enough to fit up to 8 v 8.
-After game is finished, the next one is already loading. There is a 20 second delay between matches. If one say has to go afk they can just go to the lobby and then jump back into the game match once they are fully ready for the match.
-Game controls are easy to learn. Just make sure you check the settings > game options and read up on all the keys and controls.
-Accurate killing mechanics. A lot of fps have an issue to where a player is hit in the head and they don't die because the system counts it as a normal hit instead of a "Critcal Shot", This fps has it so if you hit someone in the head with any gun they instantly die.
-Real life phsycis mixed with Non realistic Phsyics. Some fps have it to where a player can jump and shoot and still be accurate. In this game the accuracy actually goes down once a player is jump shooting. Another example would be that if a player is knee-sliding the bullets would only fire in the direction of how the guns are being pointed, not the direction that the person is going in.
-Loadout system. You get 4 loadouts and you can customize each loadout the way you want it.
-Interesting announcer commentary. The commentary adds a little humor to all the intense gun play. Its quite enjoyable.
Cons:
-The marketplace can be over expensive to get simple items.
-Repairing weapons is expensive. (always repair after 1-3 matches).
-No rolling, or evading type skill. ( the only movement type of skill that you can get besides running/walking, is the knee slide. That only works when you are dual wielding. In order to dual wield you have to get a certain amount of heat in a match to unlock it).
-There are a couple over powered abilities that if you run into someone that has it your basically dead, no matter how good you are. (mortify is the main one since the others were taken out to be fixed)
-Knifing doesn't exactly one hit kill. It takes about 3-4 accurate melees to kill someone at 100% hp.
-At rank 1 you have basically no defense, so you die a bit quickly. Plus you get a very in accurate main gun to start with.
With all that being said BulletRun is a fun fps and I would recommend it to anyone that likes Borderlands, CounterStrike, Combat Arms. It just has so many good elements about it.
