the depth also seems to change back to 5 every time i only got depth 1 enabled(light blue background?) set at 4
i start the bot and the depth goes 4 > fishes once > back to 5and stays there

i also tried enabling all the depths and set them to 4 after some time the depth then gets changed to 3~

You have to enable the override of depths. Click the button.

the bot will cast out the pole, and sit there with depth on or off, same thing. I run win vista business and nothing happens after the cast goes out, just an error after the timer.

"Error limit reached"

Hmm

I am not quite sure what is going on. Mine has been running for 4 hours straight. Let me check the reasons it would error and i will post again.

go into the shadow 13ot ini file and set Debug=1
this will let the bot popup message boxes displaying where you are and what the bot is going to do next.
if nothing pops up or no text is in the box let me know.
you will have to keep clicking 'ok' as the bot cycles through the list.

press the exit key to stop the bot when u want to quit.

also try changing your errorcount to some odd high number for now

I just gave the bot a go, it seems to work fairly well for me. I really like that I have the option to change the delay for each jig, but the bot doesn't seem to duplicate a jig when I get the "fish is tired" message. Is there a specific setting I need to change to get this to work?

Also, is there anything in the config files I can change to customize how it handles certain messages like "you take some line" and "the fish takes some line"? It would be great if the user could customize how the bot handles specific messages.

Other than those quibbles, thanks for all the great work.

*Edit*
I'm pretty sure it doesn't duplicate my "fish is tired" jig because I changed the default jig timings, since the default ones were not hitting where I want them to, probably due to lag/delay on my end. I set the first four jigs to 900 - 1300 - 1700 - 2100. How would I go about setting up the bot to work correctly with these new timings?

I say this because when I went back to default times the bot started working correctly when the "fish is tired" message came up, so I'm pretty sure it is due to changing the jig times.

I had this problem when I first used the bot, but now it has been working fine for the last 9 ranks or so. I'm using my own jig times as well.

Hmm interesting on the jig timers. I will try looking to see what would cause that.

I think adding an option to 'do what you want bot to do' on certain messages would be a good idea. I will look into adding that.

To save your own jig settings, make sure the checkbox(s) are highlighted and hit save button.

ALSO, quick questionid you guys change the default chat log and what it displays?

My chat log is default. The problem only occurred once, and haven't been able to recreate it since.

Also, what exactly does detection prevention detect? I've had it stop my bot a few times with nobody in sight, so I was just curious.

[Edit]

It seems that using abilities sometimes triggers detection prevention.

After I posted my last message it began to work with my custom jig times, but it doesn't seem to be 100%. I've been watching it off and on and there seems to be times when it works and times when it doesn't. My overall catch rate has been hovering around 50% @ rank 33 in grade 4 waters with appropriate gear/lure. Maybe it's just the lag or something on my end, because I've been jumping back and forth between multiple applications while the bot is running.

The only thing I've changed besides jig times is the check box for not waiting on a nibble.

*Edit*
It's still not duplicating jigs consistently on "the fish is tired" message, but also now I'm having an issue where sometimes it doesn't run at all. Instead it does nothing for a few seconds and than tells me there was an error and proceeds to stop on it's on. Any idea what's causing this?

I tried putting 1 on the debug, but it wasn't popping up with any detailed errors or message box. Just "There was an error" and "20:31:48 - error limit reached".

This always happens when my XIV errors out or dc's and I don't restart the full client. The PID is the same as before and it will start the gathering but when it gets to the depth, there is no input and just stalls and comes back with "there was an error".

20:35:28 - bot started!
20:35:37 - You prepare to cast into the fishable waters. (Grade 4)
20:36:27 - there was an error
20:36:27 - bot stopped!

is what appears in the box

I've determined the problem with the bot not duplicating the jig on the "Tired the fish" message. It seems that when "Enable nibble" is OFF, it causes this to happen.

I have found the issue with the bot giving the error message off the start and the detection prevention as well. I will look into that issue with having nibble enabled. I think I misplaced some checks which in turn caused the issues.

Detection prevention watches how long your keys are unavailable for. When I was botting a while ago with my pixel bot I was watching the screen and the keys where taking forever to pop up. I stopped the bot and closed fishing. Next thing I knew I my character was walking by itself. I was not touching anything and then I d/c. When I try to log in there was the SE message saying my account might have been compromised.

So...detection prevention watches how long the keys are unavailable and stops the bot if unavailable for longer than defined amount of time.

I recently discovered the timer was not being reset after a key was available which is why you might see this go off quite often.

I will be updating the bot sometime late tonight. I am working on some other things atm.

< got pulled over by a cop ^^. The funny thing is, I was the designated driver for the night. I had '1' beer at 10pm. We left at 2am. I was driving a girlfriends car that I had never driven before and I forgot to turn the headlights on because there were soo many lights around me it looked like I had them on ^^.

The cop let us go, but forgot to give my girlfriends registration back to her so while we were driving down the street at 25mph the cop pulled up to the right of us and yelling with the registration in his hand out his window. As we were driving 25 mph he hands the registration from his window to the passenger side window, we grab the registration and off he went.

And to think he thought I was drunk ~~
What drunk person can do pull that **** off?
