Namechanger??

I've been seeing alot of post with "you must have namechanger on" what is it where can i get it and what does it do lol? sorry i've jus been reading it alot and cant find a direct post to an answer. Thx

it's a plug in for windower. it makes the name 1 solid name instead of changing comstintly.

hey im really new at this.

i downloaded the namechanger and put it into the plugins folder if my windower. now my question is do i need to do anything special to make it work? it seems the name is still changing. unless im looking at a completely differant "name." i have no idea. from what i understand, its the thing thats changing from
"dsjbfsljhv" to "sdfnbddh" and so on. just random letters it seems. now if thats the thing that should NOT be changing anymore, i have a problem becuase it still does change ><

im sooo lost when it comes to all this stuff. offsets, dll and everything else

You need to hit the console key, I think the default in archbell's is the ` key(right over TAB) and type "load namechanger" then hit the ` key again to remove the console. Also, if you want it to auto-load when ffxi starts you can edit the init.txt file in the windower directory, go down to where the default plugins are typed in and insert(without the quotations) "/load namechanger" also can use "//load ___" but I'm not sure why that is. Either works for me though, good luck.

so if it stops the windower name from changing what does it actually do? I mean what is it purpose? Will mrargus work w/o it? as with other things?

All these bots look for a specific named window. It changes the name of the FFXI window to that name. That way your bots can see the game's window and knwo which one it is. =D
