99% of the programs everyone is using are ridiculously easy to create if you have any clue about memory editing in the first place. I was suprised to find that when I downloaded Mr. Argus from this site, that it truely felt like a program I had created for myself not long ago.

What I would propose, is to have a thorough discussion, or some sort of organized list of WHAT each memloc can actually accomplish. I can tell you all about how to make your own Mr. Argus, in fact I might write a tutorial at some point. I think that once someone has explained HOW these programs are created that we won't be relying on cracking software off of pay sites anymore.

I'm not some amazing cracker guy, I'm just a stupid script-kiddy who's managed to stumble across pertinant information. MOST of the stuff that these paysites are doing isn't ridiculously complicated.

Basically, what I'd like to compile is a list of different data structures, and what information they contain. I mean, I don't know what the [INITCODE] is for example, or why/how Mr. Argus disables it and what not. That would be something nice to know.

For example: The "Player Location" data structure is currently referenced by THESE pointers, and contains Player X coordinate located 0x64 bytes from the beggining. Changing this value will do <whatever>.

I know the stuff isn't EASY to find. But once you've got a chunk of people looking for new stuff I don't think it would take long before you could have enough information available to do something relativly useful FOR YOURSELF.

Once we have a list of WHAT data-structures there are, and what they contain, and how (at least in current versions) to find certain things in the FFXIMain.dll (or other modules for that matter) then we'll have set up an infrastructure which would make everything so much easier for everyone looking for things in this forum. We could write our own stuff.

And I mean, I know stuff changes with updates, but I also know for a fact that the stuff I've been using hasn't been totally reworked, and once you know what each thing does, after an update its just a matter of finding it again.

This post is just to see what other people think of the idea. I honestly think it could turn out to be quite useful. Post your opinions. Some feedback would be great.

most if not all of the proggies are derived from the jps who the nas have reworked and tried to sell off to make bucks *cough *cough. there's that much of what client side hax can do for now and no doubt it's already damaging to some of the playing aspects. i'm the same as u wanting to know about the codes and what it means even tho i'm a programmer who's rusty as well.

i'm not surprised that se may rewrite how some of even the client side data is being interpreted and make the current programs useless. of cos as long as programs as man made, it's crackable. just the time issue.

and of cos i'm interested in how to make own argus from what u said even tho i have the source code but another helping hand in understanding from u is never enuff lol

yesterday i was thinking how lame is it to rely on this site for working programs and thought it would be cool if i could just make my own...but then i'd have to browse through a million programming sites before i get a clue on where to start...blah

i just wish information on how to was easily available without it making it look like rocket science (i'm not just some stupid little kid who wants a claim bot/script like 80% users on here) and i certainly have the time now that i've become somewhat bored of being able to track nms and walk through the sky...lol
