Can you play on a CIS account if you are in the U.S.?
So i was looking to buy a cheap tarkov acc on g2g to play on, and I noticed that all the Russian standard accounts were much cheaper than the U.S. standard accounts. For the past hour I have been debating to buy a cis account or not, because from my research some people have said that you can't play on it and some people have said yes you can. So i don't know if I should buy the account or not.

Yes you can use CIS account, but you will need VPN to be able to use it

Have you tried to play without a VPN? I havent played on a CIS account in a while but BSG removed the region lock a few months ago, so you shouldnt need one

You don't need a VPN. just login and play, bsg removed region lock

Login to vpn to buy RU account in official eft website then turn off vpn and you can play without needing one on in any region

CIS accounts are great and pretty cheap as well, as mentioned no VPN needed (bsg changed things)

Sometimes ago, I remember that I had to use VPN, not only to start the launcher but in-game too and now BSG idk why turned everything off, so if you buy CIS account, you can log from launcher + play in-game whitout VPN

But in reality, "friend" claimed that BSG has reimplemented the region lock on login servers? I don't see any posts about it so I am assuming it is BS? I haven't played since I lost access to my last purchased account so I can't test easily.

Its bs. you can still play without needing a VPN, the region lock is still off.

I always used to use G2G to buy accounts, but I'm not sure recently. They patched CIS accounts for the most part, but you can use split tunneling on a VPN like Windscribe.

Hello
A friend of mine bought an EOD account on G2G, he has full access with email and everything. When he goes on the tarkov page it says that he has the "CIS/RU version" of the game, but he plays on Europe servers normally (without using vpn or anything else). When he talked to the vendor he said "you can play from europe aswell" and nothing else.
How does it work? I read everywhere that if you buy a CIS account then you have to play with VPN or stuff like that.
We can't figure out how...
