Yeah thats the way to go if you dont want to spend money on it.
There are some guides on here or just google on how to set it up.

As Dep mentioned, it does indeed work if you do it correctly, but it can indeed be a pain in the *** if you swap games often like me id just use a spoofer for the certain game / anti cheat you are looking to bypass.
