I'm going to make a bold assumption here, you're "horse" is the only one hatched on the server?
If that is a yes, and it should be gold crown, then your problem lies in the ranking setup, you need to edit the cq_dyna_rank (I think that's what it's called) and the dynarank.ini.
Again please note I've not done a lot of EO editing for about 2-3years now.. so all memory

As for *** skill, possible errors:
3dmotion.ini
3dEffect.ini
3deffectobj.ini
3dtexture.ini

Take a look at your debug\current_date.log file to see any errors that may have occurred.
