the older threads are far more informative than the newer ones that people have made based on the older threads in most cases I think .... although this isnt one of those lol ... there are much more informative threads on this subject

#5. NO NECROPOSTING(to post in a thread that has been "dead", by being inactive for a relatively long period.) There is no need for it and it causes problems.
|
this is what i was referring to.
older posts have far more information because currently there is next to no one who bothers to dig deep and understand anymore..

lol yes I do realize what you were refering to lol and it is a valid point in most cases ....
but as you put it .... there is next to no one who bothers to dig deep and understand anymore .... if these things people dont dig far enough to find got brought to light maybe a lot of these other useless threads asking about things they cant find without looking back to the beginning of time wouldnt pop up every day
personally I would like to see more people posting in the orignal threads these things were brought up in instead of the newer threads people made biting off of those threads
almost every release someone has made concerning a matter that has already been brought up years ago is literally a copy of those threads, except they put their own name on the release and often dont include all of the information....
I think thats a lot worse than posting in a thread that someone might actually get some information out of from yesteryear and giving credit to the person who actually released it
but i dont run this forum
because of this now this thread will probably be closed and the recent posts removed ...
and when someone actually has a question about this then they will not be able to post in this thread to get an answer(although they could have picked a better one)
at least this guy got his answer before that happened

I totally agree, I got a warning/infraction for posting relevant information to the MOST RECENT but DEAD thread.
It's in clear conflict with "Search before posting"
I think the only way around necro-threading whilst still using the search function would be to post a new thread with your question and link to the old thread for reference -.-
But with all that said rules are rules
