Similar concept for the drops, though they will be tweaked over time: between feedback from players, added content I plan, and events as well, drops will be added and changed, but remain "low" as to not overpower players, so the game still presents a reasonable challenge, and thus reasonable goals.
One of the core fundamentals for this server is its client base, and what they want.

i played the server and there are no ep drops at all which is of course death to any private server if people really wanted that they would just stick to retail eo however a challengeing server would be nice but no eps is just plain retarded like really whose gonna play that just an opinion tho but i did actually try the server before judgeing it

It's already been discussed about there being no EPs, and why there are no EPs.

It has also already been discussed about why this is still better than the original Server in ways: That no EPs keeps it balanced, so it stays at a constant challenge for all, rather than SOME people getting EPs, some not, and the game gets really unfair to people who can't pay.

Also add the fact that the original server has had some REALLY annoying PK events, where players camp outside of town, killing ANYONE who leaves town.

My server has PvP, but tries to mostly stray away from it, save for standard features of the game. I quit the game SOLELY because of that, and made this public for people who feel the same way, and still want to play a low rate server without EPs.
Add that the original server has a low level cap...

Lastly, as I posted in another topic: not all players make private servers to be top of lists or anything. I made this as a project to get experience on hosting games, and learn more about programming. I just made it public for people who may want to play.

There are plenty servers with high rates up, maybe a few with low rates up.

But then why do people think that everything has to be a competition? Some people do things just for fun. This is one of them.

A server with no EPs is a welcome change im glad someone has actually made it no need to hate on the guys server.

As stated before only problem i see is there is no boss drops and after playing for a good few hours and farming all the boss mobs up to gobi i have had not one single stone drop so makes upgrading gear a no go

Hopefully if WT figures it out and puts them in server would be great be like the retail EO but without the bulk packers

and if this isnt possible maybe put in EPs or PPs off mobs but like a really small amount per mob like 1ep per kill might be easier that trying to implement boss mobs drops

This way people can still buy stones and euds but none of this 2 mill ep from a exp skill and then 255 max gears and euds in a hour or 2 it will actually take time to gather enough ep to lvl gear and get decent euds

Like I had said before, I do plan on adding drops for bosses: so far I'm looking at things like Equip and Eudemon composing items. I prefer to have them drop directly, than to drop EP and have people buy them, for 2 reasons:
-1)If you have something that can be used as a wild card (in this game, currency), people will find ways to abuse it. Example: Originally I had the SpiderQueen in here, but people would lure it to guards to kill it for drops.
-2)Different people killing different things and getting different drops means they are likely to not get exactly what they need. This means more "trade", and will encourage use of the Market, rather than redundant "LTS: Chronus Blade(+8)" Broadcast messaged, and just make things easier for all.

For broadcasts, I'm going to look for a way to require gold rather than EPs for it.

Any thoughts? BTW, if the server goes down, it's because I'm under a Tornado watch, and power went out: lol.


Edit: I did some testing, and Bosses drop items, just not if you lure them to guards, lol.

dont know what mobs u tested but i didnt lure any to guards and none of the desert mobs seemed to drop i killed them a fair few times also to make sure same for the ones in elven no drops

Ok, I'm just posting this quick as I work on other things, so please don't take it as me being angry or anything, just trying to keep it short atm.

1)I'm trying to patch the server NPC texts before worrying about fixing minor client bugs.
I'm using the same client that I zipped for the site, and play the game legit like anyone else would, so I can find the bugs and fix them.
I haven't found much substantial to be fixed in the client, other than Mall items and some minor text issues.

2)The beasts have been reported by several people to drop UniversalXO packs, exp orbs, and some stones. I plan on balancing this further later, to make it lower rewards but more constant, but haven't exactly worked on drop %s yet. I feel making text more understandable it more important, unless I get many more complaints about it, over the problems understanding.

If anyone has a CQ_Actions database with better translations they want to hand me, please let me know, and I will give you credit when i finish working on the credits page.
