would you like to explain what your exact problem is then? you have already said you have read many guides here (which i know they are easy to understand) so maybe its something in the configuration which you have missed or done wrong which we are able to help you with.

he has already stated that he searched ... let him explain where he is having issues and then we can help him along with them

ill point out to anyone else who wants to flame here that more people are moving to windows 7 while the servers tend to come with a old version of mysql which DOSE NOT run on windows 7

i am using windows xp does that make a difference
the only problem i have is i can get the client ready but its the server that find hard to get working.
im using this guide

but i get to step 7 and i get stuck
i understand computers like a second language but im stuck on this

do you have the sever names all correctly input , are all the passwords & user names right in the shell, account & config files &also is mysql running on green light

if the green light on mysql isnt running close account npc n msg sever then close mysql then go into your hard drive then windows then look for a file called my delete it then restart mysql n then it should all work correctly

Are you making a server for public or just your own server to test stuff on?,

If your making a public server it will be more complicated but im not gonna explain why an how an what to do,

If your making a "test" server just unpack the downloaded files start the mysql-nt inside the bin folder of your mysql folder, Then Start winmysqladmin.exe inside your bin folder, Then start AccountServer Version 6.127-1 inside your ACCServer folder inside your Database folder Then wait a few seconds till it says "framework ok". Then start MsgServer2.700 inside your GameServer inside your Database folder then wait till it says "Account server login OK", Then Start NPC inside your GameServer Folder then wait till it says "Login OK generator monster in 10 seconds", Then run your client using soul.exe then login with username: test password: test

And thats pretty much it if it doesn't work then its either your database is f*ggy, or your downloaded files are corrupted.

i am looking to make a public server which sounds like it is harder i will do any thing to complete it but free would be good
