Okay sorry I’ll re upload it right after work! It’s a. 1click install server comes already setup you just have to click like 4 buttons to get it running I’ll post some pics of some of the things I found inside the folder I currently translated some of the database and client already so I’ll upload that version PS. It is also around 52gb
1. The Auto-Patcher (play.exe) is Fully Unlocked
Authentic Retail Tech: We confirmed the launcher is an authentic, 2012-era official TQ Digital Auto-Patcher, not a custom-coded private server wrapper.
Severed from Chinese Cloud Servers: We successfully stripped out all external network routing (the old 99.com, 211., and 101. IPs) hidden inside the AutoPatch configuration files. The client is now 100% sandboxed.
Modern HTTP Routing: We modernized the update loop, switching it from ancient, broken FTP (Default_Mode = 0) to standard HTTP (Default_Mode = 1). It now correctly routes patch traffic to the local VMware IP (192.168.200.131 on ports 81/9700).
Safe UI Localization: Instead of doing risky binary hex-editing on the .exe (which was returning executable noise), we discovered the UI error strings and prompts (like the "Quit Confirm" messages) are externalized in AutoPatch/config.ini. These are actively being translated to English without breaking the executable headers.
2. The buding.zip Update Loop is Fixed
The "Trojan Horse" Bug Defeated: We identified a critical flaw where the server's update payload (buding.zip) contained stale Chinese config files that were silently overwriting the English ones upon extraction. We patched the files inside the payload to make the loop self-sustaining.
Extraction Errors (-3 / -4) Solved: The 2012 launcher was crashing during updates because the massive 1.1 GB patch was packed with modern compression algorithms (like LZMA). We wrote a script to rebuild the payload using legacy ZIP_DEFLATED compression and stripped out nested parent folders, allowing the native client to successfully download, unzip, and apply the patch.
3. The Server & Client Translation Architecture
The Server Core (newdb1 MySQL): We verified that the server files (msgserver) do not hold text. 100% of the server-side English translation (NPC dialogue, system broadcasts, monster names, quest logic) lives directly inside the MySQL database, primarily in tables like cq_npc, cq_action, and cq_monstertype.
The Client Overlays: Client-side visual text (like the yellow job/titles above NPCs) is mapped to local files like ini/npc.ini.
4. Rare Developer Tools Recovered
1655 Launcher Generator (1655无后门生成器): Uncovered a working, GUI-based builder that can compile fresh, unpacked launchers from scratch with custom IP injection.
C3 Engine Model Viewer (C3ViewerShell): Discovered a rare, proprietary TQ Digital 3D rendering tool. Standard software like Blender cannot read TQ's .dat files, making this tool the holy grail for community modders who want to test custom weapon meshes, mounts, and particle effects.
