Good evening, everyone,
First, I'll start by saying that yes, I know there have been quite a few of these posts in the past, and yes, I have worked through them with no resolve. I am wanting to "hide" game files from my client in my .exe. I understand that this is not 100% safe and that someone that knows what they're doing, can unpack these files. However, with that being said, I still want to "hide" these files. I have used all of the guides and tutorials here and have used enigma protector, both x32 and x64b, BoxedApp Packer, and Resource Hacker. I have created a "protected" .exe file with each, only containing my channellist.csv (I'm only using channellist to test for functionality). Assuming channellist registers in the .exe, I should be able to connect to the game without the file being present in my client (these are not the files I'm going to be placing in the .exe, again, testing for functionality). What has happened with each of these programs after creating the new .exe is the game will load to about 82ish% and crash. I placed a dummy channellist file in the client with all 0's and was able to load to 99.9% before crashing. I know that I'm doing something wrong and that's what brings me here. I have no education or formal training in coding, so some of the information above may be incorrect, please feel free to correct me. I'm really just looking for some help, and I appreciate all of you in advance! Have a great day, and happy gaming!
