Ok cool so this is what I have so far... I have, of course, this entire forum which I can use to gain useful information, then I have my tools which are Merovingian's pack manager, Nebs bypass, and healthy, virgin data files from both the 2moons and dekaron clients. What do I do now? Im looking at the
thread and Im reading the first spoiler under data file editing. I can do all this stuff with no problem but I havent yet because Im not too sure what to do from there? Oh and if its important I also have excel, but not open office calc? Not too sure which I should use or if it makes a difference, but I figured I would throw that out there.
Now Ive also read, on that same thread, about OllyDBG v110. I havent used that and dont know what it looks like or how it works, but like I said Im still learning so yeah... lol Im not too sure what to ask here because Im not really looking for anyone to tell me exactly what to do.... but more like how should I go about hacking in this way? Like, if I have my trainer and I have my vac hack and speed hacks and such that I may turn on or off at certain times depending on circumstances, can you do this same thing using the csv method? My initial guess would be no, but then again I could be wrong because I am still new at all of this.
Basically, just lookin for some advice as to how to start out.. because everyone starts somewhere. Everyone here, with exceptions to some I see who dont even know how to attach CE to their clients LMFAO, knows WAY more then I do.. so If I can learn from someone here then that would be great. Thanks

Ok I could just be getting a little too carried away.. or I could be looking at some stuff that would be AWESOME. I found a csv file that shows rates and costs of fortification. Since im new like I said I could be getting way too carried away.. but if this file is edited, could you do what I think you could do? Im not gonna put it out there because I've read the poll thread thats up right now and if anyone who reads this has seen that then its known that this would be abused and wouldnt be cool.. but is this possible? That would be awesome! Thanks
Hey ok so Im ready to edit files but I need to know do I need to repack the files after I do my editing or no? Thats basically the only thing I need to know right now is how to get the changes I made to work.. of course after a little testing but still.. if I start editing files what do I need to do to make them work in game?

Anyways I managed to do my first csv hack.. which was pretty cool actually. I managed to change the effect that stones give when adding sockets from 5% to 10% per stone. Now here is my question - what do I need to know when doing these hacks, to prevent me from getting banned? Like lets say I did fortify a weapon or something using this hack, and it worked. (Note I didnt actually click fortify due to being worried about getting banned or something XD) Obviously this is all client sided but when it reaches the server do you think it would say "this user had 53% starting rate +4 stones = 93% fortify rate" and then they notice you would need 8 stones to get this effect and thus equals HACK? Im just curious because I dont know what is actually going to work and what wont? Im new to this and I need some help so will someone please give me some advice? I pick up quick Im not asking for someone to give me the answers and Im not gonna spam I will edit and edit and follow the rules and edit some more XD I just want a little help thats all
