I prefer Summoner. This is mainly because I tend to not party much. I am rather anti-social. If you are the loner type summoner is the way to go. There is one major drawback, that I consider to be a major imbalance in game. If you have a summon out and are attacked by a player the summon will automatically counter attack. This allows higher levels to pk you with no penalty. This makes summoners a bit of a target to pkers.
